Threlkeld really was shocking in that first half - think MH will do everything he can to get him out of the club, on contract though he may be.

 

I honestly believe if players and their agents don't know the inevitable outcome they are thicker than pig shit based on media conjecture alone most are well and truly gone.

I’ll give MH his due, he did what many of us were saying out loud 30 mins after kick off. He didn’t shirk the decision. Hats off to him.

There are too many habitual losers in today's team. When that first goal went in there were no recriminations or complaints from team mates.

Again, it's the problem of all average League 2 players - total inconsistency. Flatters to deceive one week, is bloody awful or lacking in decision making or drive in the next. It's so bloody frustrating to watch with Sutton - when he's good he's good. When he's bad, he seems to have no footballing brain whatsoever. Gotta go.

 

Too damned right. A shrug of the shoulders, poor body language, no-one on the pitch trying to be a leader and driving the other players on. Again, too few wishing to take any responsibility beyond their own performance.

 

Its been a while since I've seen such a "I couldn't care less performance" from a City player, sometimes players get taken to the cleaners by the player they are marking it's football it happens, but today Threlkeld didn't look interested the first two goals coming from his area of the pitch where he was nowhere to be seen.
IMO he was without doubt the worst player in our side closely followed by 4/5 others unfortunately they were the ones Sparkie gave a chance to in place of the lads who had run themselves into the ground trying to hang on to 3 points even though they'd gone down to 10 men on Friday, those two performances were chalk and cheese and must have told Sparkie everything he needs to know about some of our players.

 

They have probably known for a while

 

Glad my dissertation is due tomorrow so I totally missed out on todays performance. Would be happy if we let everyone go and let MH build an entirely new team in the summer bar the youngsters. We back these guys in numbers every single game and get almost nothing back, it's actually quite insulting after a while.

 

We're going to need cheap squad players so we can spend more on other players.

Sutton and Hendrie are likely as cheap as you'll get for experienced cover - at least they should be, if we're not utterly stupid. Neither were wanted at very poor clubs, and yet both have shown that they are okay.

Do we need better? Of course we do. But do we also need players who can come on and do a job if necessary? Also, yes.

I'd keep them both.
