Was this off camera, as you say he booked Paudie but play was upfield.

 

I remember seeing it on iFollow, so it was part of the main action. I also remember thinking how lucky he was to get just a yellow.

 

I must have been distracted at that particular moment, it was not the best watch with regards resent games.

Apparently Paudie felt he was being held and was 'just trying to get loose' but it doesnt look that way on the clip - if VAR was used at our level he would definitely have gone. T&S really need to have a word with him about this and perhaps its a sign of the frustration over the past couple of matches

 

That is utterly disgraceful. Didn't see that properly in ifollow. If the ref actually saw that and only gave the yellow it beggars belief. If you absolutely lose it in that manner it is an issue for the team. Some of the idiots on twitter laughing / debating it also beggars belief. I don't want to see that from a BCFC player. We have been on the end of career ending tackles previously - it has to be taken seriously and acted upon.

 

If we'd a decent ref at this game, then he would have probably seen a red card, but luckily for PoC, the guy in charge was incompetent

 

Time for T&S to re-establish their concept to the boys in this full week on the training pitch. They will obviously address issues and if they can get their message across to the team and it bears fruit on Saturday, then it will confirm that the Managing duo have passed another test in their short time in charge. And here's to that because although falling away in the past month performance wise, they have shown they can be better.

Rowe is a maverick, that's why he scores so many goals. It's up to the management to find his part in their tactics. Cooke - scores goals. Sutton - after an edgy start, now one of our most consistent players. We need to kick on by building on what Sparks Turnbull and T and S achieved in the January window and strengthening for next season, not putting revolving doors on the dressing room.

 

What are most clubs lacking? What's the most valuable asset to any team? Guys who score goals. Rowe and Cooke and Novak all score goals. Don't care how old they are if they continue to hit the back of the net, which they all continue to do. Where are these new goals a-plenty young strikers, that we could possibly afford, coming from? Name names!

I'm not advocating a complete clear out. But some people seem to think all we have to do is add a couple of players and promotion's a given. We've got a decent defence as it stands but going forward we're very poor. You've got to be ruthless to succeed in football and for too long we've signed mediocrity. As I said we have a midtable squad and if we keep the majority of them that's where we'll stay. We've had a good new manager bounce and they've done exceptionally well to stabilise the club and get us safe. But we've been found out and the recent defeats have been coming for some time. To kick on we need to identify the mediocrity and buy better. And, in my opinion, most of what we brought in in January are mediocre.

 

I also thought his positioning looked wrong on the 3rd goal. It was extremely poor defending so I'm definitely not trying to shift the blame but he just looked far too close to the near post.

Perhaps it was just the angle we saw it from but there was very little power in the header and a better starting position with quicker feet and he tips it around the post.

 

If we'd started the season with this squad I suspect we'd be exactly where we are now. We had a squad and management that were relegation material. Now we have a midtable squad which is where we are.

 

If the current squad was midtable, we wouldn't have gone on a run of promotion form. We'd be way further down.
