You have just accused a Carlisle United fan of being a glory hunter. Not possible.

Yep. That’s the game they paraded a fox on a lead before kick off dead opposite our terrace Dave?

Maybe they are delaying sale until Monday morning just in case we are already 3-0 down and then they can send half of them back and no crying about priority points needed.

Nah, the club have an ego to feed. They will sell them prior to Sunday and then if we lose by 5 cream about how we sold out.

Our current Home sales are heading towards 6000. Our support is kind of strange in that it loves buying tickets as late as possible for even the biggest games so this figure will just steadily rise the next few days.

The result on Sun will have an effect too!

We’ve recently had 13.5k v Tranmere on a £10 deal day, then nearly 11k v Salford last home game.

I’d like to think we push towards the 14-15k mark plus your lot, but Sunday will go a long way to sorting this!

Aye 'UpTheBlues' is right, people do seem to buy tickets at the last possible moment, and I think a lot will be delaying buying to after the game on Sunday (especially with it being on Sky). However I think he's been optimistic if he thinks we'll sell anywhere near the 15,000 available. Depending on the first leg result I think it will be somewhere between 10,000 to 12,000.
Mind you great to see we've more or less sold out our allocation for the tie at VP.

We are the opposite, big rush to buy tickets, and that normally keeps going. Most fans will not be able to get away tickets. Difficult to say how many would come if tickets were freely available. I think we had 4000, at Doncaster.

We tried to convince the reading fans that night we've been 2 - 0 down before and it doesn't mean a thing, unfortunately that night lady luck wasn't on our side, certainly after that deflection for Reading second goal.

Doesn't seem to be any issue signing up and buying tickets at all, a friend of mine based in Glasgow has bought a couple already.

I wonder if they'll cross-reference names with City's database like City and Harrogate did for the league match and cancel any matches?

Yes just been on myself. Begs the question why Carlisle wouldn't increase our allocation to prevent home end incursions, particularly if it's unlikely those stands will sell out.

Well thats what this FL ruling does. It basically pushes people to this scenario.

In stadiums which will likely be sold out it's not an issue, but in stadiums that have never ever sold out it causes no end of issues. Salford are reaping what they sow at the moment. They either have hundreds of Stockport fans in their end, those they can identify they cancel and give refunds but others who fancy going to their first game with it being a play off match can't go as they have no purchase history and those with a purchase history only make up about 2k anyhow so you have a half empty stadium.
