I don't really think you do trev. anyone who says they have 100% accurate figures for tracking migration like this is probably a liar in my opinion. I would be more worried if they were passing off approximate figures as hard facts.

 

I agree apart from the problem of when these figures are used or reported the qualification that the figures are best guesses are often left out of reports by politicians and the press when publicised leading to people believing the figures are accurate,

 

How do they calculate illegal immigration, the name itself suggests they dont know because they have not come through the immigration system it's no more than a guess as most realise.

 

Illegal immigration only exists after the asylum process has been completed and someone who has been refused asylum disappears. Thats the illegal bit.

Actually applying for asylum is perfectly legal. Not adhering to a removal notice isnt.

Tracking illegal migration by its nature isn't going to be an exact science. people slip through the cracks, and probably will do so even when their claim is approved. However I dont think the figues the civil service provide are likely to be as widely inaccurate so as to make them useless. They don't just pick numbers out of their arse for a laugh essentially

 

Not sure you can pass all three videos off as insignificant because Farage was investigating where asylum seekers/ economic migrant are being kept especially when it was backed up by a government minister telling the House of Commons what asylum seekers/ economic migrant receive when they enter the country, but if you dont believe it because its Farage I respect your opinion.

However they arrive is irrelevant

Of course those that dont apply and disappear wont be getting state aid etc and probably are working in the black economy.

 

to me he's implicitly biased and also not an investigative journalist. if these were pieces from somewhere like Reuters I would be more inclined to believe them
