Credit for what? It’s a business not a charity. If you can afford to inject a sixth of the investment you made to stop completely losing your investment of course you’ll do it. It’s a sensible business decision by a businessman not some charitable donation.

 

Imagine owning a business that's failing so you have to pump a million in. Rather than credit the owner for pumping the money in, why not ask the owner why its failing in the first place?

 

It is business he knows very little about?

 

As others have said it is completely separate from Gibb's business success or otherwise. It is down to the pension trustees to manage the investment in the best interests of the pension scheme.
