If Huddersfield don’t win on Tuesday and Luton lose on Wednesday then it will only depend on Plymouth on Saturday.

And of course us winning away at Barnsley. Would be a great day but far more likely this will go down to the last 2 games. Wouldn't be City if things were straightforward!

Your absolutely correct and I appoligise for mixing up mark Hughes with Ga.

I usually post at peak thoughts and got that wrong

However I still feel my opinion is valid in league 2 we only just qualified by relying on others and a lucky goal at the last minute. He failed to motivate anything then and since January has done the same.

No team as others have mentioned will fear us.

I dont want to be right but not happy with our current form.

On a personal note I have alot of history with bradford city I'm not claiming I'm better than anyone and any other fans but I'm not a wind up merchant either just speak my opinion

I think we'll get what we need to finish in the playoffs and then who knows, it's anybody's game. My money is on Bolton though they just seem to rise a bit more for the big games. That penultimate match could be really interesting and a possible rehearsal to a playoff final.

Proud of what we have achieved this year, I thought it was going to be a real struggle but we've done incredibly well. All the coaching staff and players should take a lot of credit for that.

Wembley pitch size could be a huge factor. It's a significantly bigger surface than VP and other L1 grounds.

    In our favour:

Baldwin's occasionally overhit diagonals more likely to hit their target instead of sailing over Touray / Neufville.

Plenty of space for Neufville / Wright / Touray to get in behind.

More space for Pointon, Sarc to pull strings.

    Cons:

Pacey forwards having a run on our centre backs who aren't the quickest. Someone like Cozier Duberry at Bolton would worry me.

Massive ground for Power / Metcalf to patrol in the middle. Been a struggle at times away.

Overall, I think it suits us but obviously it depends on opposition.

Getting ahead of myself I know but it's worth thinking about.

I think we will make the playoffs. I doubt we will be in charge of our position in the playoffs which is a shame. However, we are going to have to up our game. Not just the players either; we have to sort A&B plans for whoever we play in the semi’s. I don’t want to see square pegs in round holes, or subs coming on late which has been a feature. The players are fit so plenty of time to work on different systems. We play our best team to suit the formation we are playing, if we have to change it, then we need to either switch players around or bring on subs.

We can’t pick the ref, but what we can do is research his history to see how he manages a game, and then all the players need to know so they can take that into account, if he doesn’t like dissent then don’t give him an opportunity to book you etc.,

If we don't make the playoffs now after not being out of the top 6 all season, currently sitting 4th, eight points clear of 7th with a game in hand and four games to go, I think it would go down as one of the worst f..k ups ever.

Yes it would be an absolute disaster - no matter what spin is put on it.

But the happy to just stay in the division mob will still be clapping like performing seals and telling us its been a fantastic season.

The worst ever in my lifetime was losing at Posh last game of the season, 1980 I think it was. We had been nailed on for promotion going into that last game. The only way we were not going up was if we lost there and a set of results elsewhere were all to go against us.

We boarded the special train in Bradford full of confidence and already celebrating. Posh had nothing to play for and we were in good form.

We froze on the day and lost, and all the other results went against us and we missed out. No safety net of the playoffs in those days.

I am not sure the word disaster comes into the equation. Missed opportunity yes.
Vale , Doncaster and Wimbledon, would love to have had our season.
Put what ever spin you want on it, but it has been a very good season and could go on to be a fantastic season.
Happy clappers, makes my piss boil. We have done extremely well to stay in the top 6 all season, with a budget much less than many around us, Have the club got some things wrong , yes, but they have also got a hell of a lot right. We all want promotion, fact!
Stop name calling fellow supporters, get behind the lads , enjoy the ride and let see where we are come the end of May.
Wherever we finish , its improvement again.

No need to resort to the 'clapping like seals stuff' to insult fans who appreciate the efforts the club, managers and players have made this year. You're entitled to your opinion that it's a disaster if we miss out on the play offs just as much as others are entitled to claim it's been a good season overall from here on in.

Yeh its a disaster. 46 games and 9 months of hard work thrown away at the final hurdle.

I did say there would be spin.....

it is a horrible term though, for fellow supporters
We all want the same thing, which is for the club to advance its status
We just have to be realistic under the present owner

The word disaster, can be used for many things in this world, failing to gain promotion as a football team is not one of them.
Dissappointment most certainly, but with an acceptance that we might not be good enough this season , our first back at the higher level
My only worry is that we might not be able to push on , if we miss out this year, as the football money merry go round looks like it wont be coming to an end soon, and we can only afford tickets for the cheaper seats.

The lack of goals and a decent regular goal scorer will cost us a place in the play offs. We will finish 7th at best

I think you are taking the word literally.

I am very happy if we qualify for the play offs, promotion will be tough but we should be very proud we have finished top 6 and had a good go at it the first season back. But as others have said, failing away at the final hurdle and not qualifying would be a 'disaster' and for me that is not acceptable. You would have to question the mentality of the squad and management to bottle it like that.

Over to Arsenal and their quadruple, if they don't win anything are their fans going to be happy they came 2nd, got to a cup final and 'did well' in the Champions League? Its no consolation whatsoever IMO.
