Without trying to risk going round in circles and completely derailing this thread even further than it already has been...enlighten me as to what issue I was challenged on in your last post, #160?

But you didn’t just make a simple suggestion, did you?
You said ‘I’m sure there are plenty of other facilities that piss all over Woodhouse Grove’ (my italics, for emphasis). That’s a very strident, dogmatic, confrontational reply to my previous post. It’s a very long way from just a simple suggestion.
Having been so certain that these rocking horse poo facilities exist, it was perfectly reasonable of me to ask ‘where exactly?’. And from the number of other posters’ responses it’s clear that they agree with me.

I’ve no general beef with you. It’s clear from other threads that we have very different political beliefs, but that’s no big deal on here. But on several occasions in the past you have interjected yourself into discussions I’ve been having with other posters and made sweeping, totally inaccurate assumptions about my views or else have completely misinterpreted/ failed to understand what I’ve said and then have had the temerity to call me out and get very shirty when I’ve challenged you for it.
Glass houses and stones come to mind.

 

I recall Shay McCarten saying, when he signed from Accy, that they used to train at the local park and sports centre....they've been to league one more recently than us!! I've been clear on here that I am not a fan of the current regime by any stretch of the imagination but the training facilities are not the root cause of our dismal performance over the last few years!!

If people do, and @Fordy117 will be the leader, believe that then perhaps HE can lead a PROTEST down at the school. "It's only a school, it's only a school...."

I don't think he's made that much of an impact for him to be a miss. Once he's back and the system of play has settled down, he could make more of an impression.

 

It's unlucky for the lad but I said some time ago that he's very slow and having him and Smallwood in midfield really hampered us. I'm sure Stockport knew this and I believe he played much deeper for them last year. He's really competing with Jamie Walker and Pattison for that right side AM and would any of us play him before them on what we've seen so far? He's got loads of experience and I'm sure he'll have a role to play as the season unfolds but if we're paying him a fair whack I'm not sure we'll be getting value for money.

 

The telegraph report said Baldwin was out for 3-4 weeks and sarcevic had "an expected similar timescale"

 

GA said the same in this weeks interview . Parker is repeating it , I assume he was in the room ? Who knows these days , but you are right .

 

From what I’ve seen, he’s been the biggest disappointment of the season so far. Other than experience I can’t see what he brings that we don’t already have. I didn’t see yesterday's game but it sounds like Walker made a much more significant contribution.

 

Johnson, Baldwin and now Sarcevic.

A bit of bad luck and/or a bit of comeuppance on risky signings. Either way the squad size is already coming to good use.

On this one specifically, Jamie Walker on the bench baffles me never mind who’s available so we have good coverage in that part of the pitch. That said, hope Sarcevic can recover quickly and we get to see the quality we know he has.

 

Walker has the perfect attributes to give us what Smallwood lacks by simply being mobile. This allows Smallwood to do what he does best. Its not perfect but its the best matchup we have.

 

To be fair it is a team game and Smallwood probably allows Walker to do what he does best.

In a team game they both, therefore, contribute to their fullest ability.

 

That's kinda the point the point I was making.
