I think the 'lesson learned' from last season was 'sign infinite billion centre backs'.

The season before it was 'sign infinite billion strikers'.

I hope in five years it will be 'sign a balanced squad'.

To be serious for a moment I don't know what position we will attain in league 1 but I would be shocked if we were relegated.

One of our centre halves can play full back and another can play defensive mid. I suppose it's possible we can go into a game with 5 centre halves.

 

They should make him another offer contract wise, if he does not accept it put him on the transfer list.

 

Pretty much what I understand is happening Bronco.
His agent has already told the club he won't sign a new contract. It has 12 months to run.
I would suggest the club is already hawking his name about rather than bang him on the transfer list.
Reckon if we got a million we'd be doing well personally. Cant see him being with us come the 1st game of the season

 

Defence is looking pretty solid now (depth wise, hard to comment on ability) but on paper it looks good. Although may need another fullback as we only have 1 on each side by my reckoning.

Would like to get a couple more attacking players now, striker, winger and ball carrying CM. Progress is good so far though, very impressed with how early we’re getting our signings done.

 

I am also pleased with the greater height in the team.
