Trying to remember how it happened ? Did he turn quickly or was it a bad landing from an attempted header on the byeline ?

 

At first glance it seemed like an innocuous landing from an aerial challenge, haven't watched it back though.

 

Thats horrible news ,more so for Andy than us. On finding a replacement of his quality,that's not likely to happen.

 

Obviously bad news.

But the team will have to learn to win without him. No more hit and hope... Or hope cook does something out of fresh air.

Every cloud.

 

Devastating blow for him and the club, he is up there with the best.

 

Such bad news for us, the club, but especially for Cooky.
But now is definitely time for Mr Rupp to put his money where his mouth is. He’ll never be forgiven if he doesn’t.

He gets one chance to back up what have appeared to be previously empty words.

Mess this up and it will be virtually impossible for most fans to believe anything that him or Sparks say in the future.

 

Even the sheep who pleasure themselves to his 'fan letters' every 6 months surely can't forgive him if we do not sign a known named striker with intent this window

 

The problem is every club now knows we are desperate and the price of letting any ot their strikers leave will increase.
How much are you expecting Rupp to spend?
Who would we be satisfied with?

 

Gutted for Cook, such an awful injury and at his age it's not guaranteed for him to be fully fit ever again.

I'm not a believer in we play better without Andy Cook, to me Andy Cook is the reason we have been looking up and not down for the last few years and has effectively carried this club on his back.

There is absolutely no excuse for not going out and bringing someone else in, not doing so is effectively surrendering the season at this point.

 

I think that if we want anyone decent to come right in and make a difference, then we will have to convince a parent club to recall a loan player to sign for us who is having a good season to date. I will be VERY optimistic and give a ridiculous name... Macaulay Langstaff on loan as he is struggling at Millwall haha

 

If Mellon has signed then that would explain the release of this information. Given he’s fairly robust when it comes to injuries I’m hoping he’ll be back playing by the end of this year, hopefully when we’re in league one.

 

Who though? Will we pay a fee?
Nobody will loan their top striker out in Jan.

Charlie Wyke?
Luke Armstrong?
Cole Stockton?
Smith (Swindon)
Orsi (Burton)

these are proven goal scorers but I doubt we can afford any of them

 

Proven goal scorers is a bit of a stretch for these lads

 

Well despite having a good result on Saturday without Cook, it’s a risk not to replace him with someone who would likely score 12-15 goals before end of season like Cook would have done.

 

Isn't Wyke out for the season too?

 

Or actually believe there is any substance to them!
