    Far too good for that level , guess being closer to home and family means more to him than big wages , should help them do a lot better next season with him at the back

    Gosh. I hadn't appreciated that Matt Bates was still only 31. I thought he was already older than that when he was at VP. He would have made Vince look like Usain Bolt at the time ;)

    Dunno to be honest, if he was fit I'd bring him back, he would be a better option than Isherwood to back up our usual centre backs.
