American-Style Opinionated 'Anti-Woke' Media Failing in the UK

The definition of 'woke' is pretty simple. It means anything that social conservatives with outdated attitudes don't like.

Not necessarily. There's plenty of us that believe we don't need to be labelled and are happy to look at everything in the world on its own merits.

I also find people like that are often less extreme and can openly debate and discuss things without throwing derogatory terms at people with a differing point of view.

That's not aimed at you either @trevor, I find both sides of the debate as daft as each other, it's just how I feel in general about things these days where everything is always blown out of proportion.

In reality, there's not a great deal that we read or see on the news that terribly affects us so we'd all be much happier if we just concentrated on doing whatever it is that enhances our own lives and worry less about what other people like to do.

Anyway, that's enough serious talk from me, back to moaning about those hand wringing, tree hugging lefties or summat.

 

I'll correct you. The definition of being woke (in Britain) is making life as inconvenient, difficult and/or frustrating as possible for the overwhelming majority [native] demographic in order to pander to [any] minority demographic's demands.

In a woke Briton's ideal world, we would have:

- approximately 72 genders
- something not far off 138 sexualities
- climate lockdowns
- mental health lockdowns
- no aeroplanes
- only bicycles, walking or variations of wheelchairs as methods of transport
- 50%+ of the population being immigrants
- no restrictions whatsoever for anyone coming into the country - planes would be allowed to send immigrants in
- straight heterosexual relationships banned unless they're interracial
- no white/white relationships unless it fits in the lqbtqiuaxyz+ bracket
- primary school children being taught about male pregnancy and gay sex by drag queens
- male pregnancy as a social norm
- women, ethnic minorities or those in the lgbtqiuaxyz+- community given all the jobs in power and/or influence instead of white straight men because we should all be ashamed for events that occurred before we were born

Also, not forgetting, cancel culture with no books, no history, no statues and a complete ban on anything entertaining or funny......

If you look at the way society has shifted over the past decade or two, the trajectory is absolutely heading in the direction of those aforementioned ‘woke norms’. Whilst we may be a fair way off reaching those, there’s no doubting we’re going that way.

 

There's bound to be a fightback at some stage, we will swing back to some kind of normal sometime...
