I have no idea. Over the last 10 years or so, the Venkys have ploughed sround £140m of financial support into Blackburn as debt or equity. Without them, I doubt very much that Blackburn would be in the Championship today. Their fans never appear to acknowledge that.

They got off on a bad footing….the owners bought the club not realising the Premier League was not a franchise. Incredible, I know. They didn’t realise relegation was a possibility.

I think the fans were then frustrated by a lack of investment in the subsequent years and fans have just dropped off along the way.

Its quite sad really, they were a cracking PL club in their time and used to love watching players like Duff, Yorke, Cole, Pederson, Bentley, Tugay, Santa Cruz, Yakubu even after the title winning side was broken up.

Ewood was soulless in the Cup earlier this year.

That doesn’t seem that much over a ten year period, Dennis? Relative to the bigger budgets.

The Rovers fans bemoan a lack of investment. Their pitch, for example, needs drainage work doing but the owners refuse. It causes problems every year in extreme weather and has led to several abandonments.

They aren’t a club that goes blowing big transfer fees and their budget may be bottom half for the Championship?

When teams are getting 40m parachute payments following relegation, they need more investment to compete at that level.

Shows just what City would be up against. Frightening!

Other than the train delays getting there, and missing (delayed) connection coming back, great night :)

One of the poorest and most disappointing Parky games was the Millwall away play off semi for me.
We needed a result at the New Den and we literally waved the white flag in that game. We never gave ourselves a chance of turning it around.

Some of the stuff on this site alone is laughable considering where the club was to where it is now since he took over ...............folk can go on about his flaws his tactics but if he was perfect on both of them he wouldnt be at VP would he ?????

I have had a go at him but my god the bigger picture is he has given the club its pride back hes united the club and fanbase so he deserves a lot of credit for what hes done.

I dont think anyone has said he doesn't (deserve credit?)

obviously GA does deserve credit for what he has done and he has instilled fight and pride back and of course a fabulous home record. The players do too though. Sharpe also takes a lot of credit.

I posted a comment suggesting he can 'fk off for me now and that he is not immune from criticism', that wasn't a direct request for him to be sacked, but that post match interviews currently leave a lot to be desired - to go in there saying 'they took their chances we didnt'. 'I dont think it's a game we should lose' - Absolute garbage. So yeah I aint buying 12 minutes of GAs post match BS analysis.

We got overrun for large chunks in a very similar manner to lots of other recent games, maybe not quite so bad but enough for Luton to say it was one of their best performances of the season - we let them play.

I dont for a second think we deserve to by anywhere other than L1 under the current ownership but its nice to dream, and we had that for a bit, we might still.

Fair point, I dont tend to listen to the other manager, although listening to GA's interviews is getting to be a big ask at 12 minutes plus. Blaming the ref at Hudds despite playing against 10 men for 30 minutes - another dose of sour grapes and in denial, expect better tbh.
