It will hit Rahic in the pocket massively, he takes the FA Cup more seriously than the league (screwing with Stuart after defeat at Yeovil, sending Abbott out twice to watch Aldershot, and actually making statements that the cups are very important financially).

An early FA Cup exit might just push him over the edge..

I would think the likes of O'Brien, Ball would be the only two who would be in the frame for a start, couldnt see Wolves having a problem allowing Seedorf to play, he's light years away from their first team squad.

Losing will mean less money in January so how does that help. Unless of course you are more interested in the future of Rahic than the club

 

£30k+ might be a lot of money to you and me Park but if we are pinning our hopes on that amount making any meaningful difference in January I would respectfully suggest you are not living in the real football world.

I know we are stretching credulity to breaking point here but if we get through round two I suspect £90k will hardly make a dent on our likely requirements in January.

Serious investment is required and £90k is not even close in my opinion. No, regardless of our cup winnings or not, Rupp needs to get his hand in his pocket.

 

City are a League One side (albeit at the bottom), whilst Aldershot are mid table in the National League.

I KNOW Aldershot are remembering the Great War .............. and so it should be.
I would hope the day alone inspires ours players, as it did our forefathers, and many beyond..........

£90,000 will be vital to City as we will hardly be flush with cash. Everyone is getting excited that Rhodes is back but his board relied totally on cup money. Saturdays game is extremely important for City to win both to boost morale and get us some cash.

 

Jim O'Brien should be available for selection, and Danny Devine due to travel with squad too. I would imagine though, that O'Brien will be on the bench, as we ease him back. I wonder if talks have taken place to extend his contract yet?
