Tell me another club that would leave the second top scorer in the league on the bench when we struggle for goals.

 

A point away against a team not far behind us, isn't quite the disaster that justifies some of these post match comments. Particularly as we had 10 men. Last season, we'd have lost and, given our tendency to let our head drops, it was pleasing to see some fight.

I see Smallwood's then new player some fans can't stop moaning about. Hilarious that his poor corners (and yes he should do better) gets mentions, but his late strike that produced a brilliant save, doesn't.

I remind everyone, this is oceans better than all but one of the past twenty-odd season. Yes, it would have been fantastic if we'd put on a show and won 3-0, but it's no disaster.

Agree with most of this, but think the criticism of Richie's set pieces is valid.

I’ve noticed recently this forum has serious bipolar, everything is extreme these days win and top 3 here we come, lose or draw and sack the club.

Costelloe was a weird starter. Not played since getting a knee injury in Sept and it looked like it. Bloke looked lost.

 

Well since he was replaced it’s two wins and a draw out of 4 matches following what was 4 pr 5 defeats with him In

 

He scored 3 in 10 matches, which included that Carlisle horror show of misses - so he deserved to get dropped.

You’re probably correct, just didn’t feel so extreme when I first started contributing on C & B.

 

My point is, that, when we see a player we don't like - a bit like a wild dog who finds and injured rabbit, we're quick to tear into them and very slow to praise. Point is, that shot was arguably the best chance we produced.

 

Not true. The History Makers season, the two L1 playoff seasons and the FA Cup run season when we beat the best team in the country at their place were all easily better than this one.

Since the promotion to the Premiership, we've only had two other seasons with more points per game than this. This time in 2013, our form and points tally was terrible.

 

I think the experiment with the 442 diamond should be stopped. 4231 was a bit tedious but I feel like we were more consistent (not saying much).
