They've done it to sell season tickets, not rectify anything that's actually wrong.

They just want another 12 months of our money lining the clubs pockets so Sparks can pretend to Rupp that it was all someone else's fault (again) and keep his job.

Sparks is the biggest failure at this club and until the people above the football management side get their jobs right then it matters not a jot who sits in the dug out.

 

And that’s how it should be. 100%. It’s stale and in a collective rut!

 

Sparks has got to be questioned by Rupp soon, if Rupp gives a toss anymore. Looking for his 4th manager 15 months. Got to think some managers will be put off to work in that kind of environment?

 

I'm not a fan of his style of football, but I look forward with trepidation rather than hope. Everybody talks about the need to stop hiring and firing managers but nobody seems willing to give any manager time if we aren't in the top seven. I don't think the quality of managerial candidates will be particularly inspiring, at best we will either hire someone who has experienced failure and success elsewhere or somebody unproven. We need a long term plan, part of that plan needs to be not sacking our manager next January/February if we aren't in the top seven.

Priority in the new manager search must be that he plays entertaining, attacking football. If the results aren't there immediately, but we're at least being entertained, then we'll be prepared to give the manager time and patience.

If he appoints another dinosaur after seeing how fans turned on Bowyer and Adams then there is no hope for us.

 

The season over 15 left 8 adrift and if Exeter keeps changing spots with Newport then they have two games in hand. So we stopped the threat of season tickets going down and looks to me that who ever comes in finish as high as can this year. Whether trueman finish the season as I doubt Adams let him have no input. Who ever comes in I’m not bothered as stats and history means nothing as just proved. Give the new guy one year roll on deal as be lucky to last year here. And let’s just tell him to entertain us again!!! And as long as I get that I be happy no silly targets like promotion on his back! Morecambe won’t have had that last year and Sutton target surely was just stay up. Let us fall in love with club again

 

I just hope we don’t turn into football Snobs yes of course entertainment but results have to be the priority

 

They have to pay him until he gets a new job. If that's on less money we make up the difference. If it's more we are quids in. That's the way it works.

 

Interesting now to see what, if any, the Trueman effect will have in the way the lads perform.

 

Eight months at the helm absolutely nothing of note achieved.Its a sad state of affairs.
Plenty of candidates out their but who's got what it will take to move our club out of the doldrums.

We've sacked Butler and the new "System" on Adams say so, paid out money to hire a whole new scouting team recommended by Adams and then 2 months later sacked Adams?

I completely agree, long term vision is a pipe dream Dennis with the current CEO in charge. He's just stumbled from one mistake to another since being appointed.
