100% agree with that. That’s why our team playing 1 up top is criminal. Look at the lad Exeter had , we papped ourselves with his mobility and pace. 3-5-1 for them WAS effective for those reasons.

 

Could DA have been deemed to have breached his contract in the way he spoke in recent after match interviews? Certainly seemed like he was publicly slagging off various aspects of the club. Surely that is not an acceptable way to behave.

On another note I wonder if DA will now reveal what "needed fixing" at the club.

Yes. I’ll say it again in a different way.

If you get Truman ( as you were!) you will get Cook up front on his own. I DO NOT WANT Truman for that reason because Cook isn’t a 1 in 3-5-1 as long as he’s got a hole where the sun doesn’t shine.

I was firmly in the Adams out camp and was delighted to hear the news this morning.

I think any other manager would have been given more time, especially one with Adams track record. However, his recent post match comments about the fans and basically telling Sparks and Rupp they would be stupid to sack the best manager we could wish to have made his position untenable in my opinion.

His arrogant nature of self appointing himself the special one at this level, referring to the club as 'they' instead of 'we' certainly didn't endear himself to the fans and I doubt he would ever have got the fans back onside.

Hats off to Sparks for pulling the trigger, but Im sure he would have been conscious of potentially losing a lot of season ticket holders in the summer if he had stuck with him, coupled with the dirge served up most weeks, really meant he had to do it. The last two home games especially were horrible bore fests.
