That's not the whole story though. Holt only went on a rant after one of their first team coaches moaned that they hadn't been offered new contracts in an interview with the BBC.

I'd argue that football management/coaching probably isn't the profession if you're looking for job security. Which was basically what Jimmy Bell was complaining about.

Suppose it depends on if you think Coleman and his staff are working miracles with the resources they've got and with that size of club. Or a manager that's overseen a relegation should lose his job/not be offered a new contract.

Has anyone else received their Accrington tickets where the QR code is spoiled by what seems to be thermal smudge from the printer?

At the time, the Chairman was worried about giving new contracts to the Management team on the back of a relegation and he wanted to see the season develop. You can't argue with that.

I’ll take it back tomorrow. Cant be arsed with the hassle from a £2 an hour turnstile operator.

Both Julian & Mark made it very clear at the time about the situation with regards how they were running the club and not being able to fund us in the Championship, as with everything else there would have been detractors at the time, as fans we always demand more.

BFG was old school and twatter etc wasn’t a thing then. In any case no owner should be ranting and raving on social media all the time. It’s poor taste. He is the only one I know of in the entire football league, other than the occasional rant from Darragh at Peterborough

There is obviously a middle ground that most owners fit in to, and that is all most of the fans are wanting. Sparks and Rupp have made a proper pigs ear of the relationship between club and fans by being jumped up and arrogant, refusing to have an open discussion or forum

another game reaching the stage where tickets are available to all season tickets holders yet some declare the points system is unfair.

Out on a limb here, but its one of the best things to come out of Sparks' CEO tenure

Wasn't it one of the travel/supporters clubs who pushed for it??
I know I emailed asking the club to consider it along the lines of how Sheffield United do theirs

Got to say I am quite disappointed this game has now reached general sale and still not sold out, yet the scramble for Harrogate tickets barely lasted a few minutes this morning. It takes me about the same time to get to both these games, as I imagine it does for quite a few fans

Having gone to general sale, I would expect we’ll see a few pyro’s if/when we score

Just as easy getting to Accrington for me as Harrogate, suppose being in Haworth does help as it's only a quick bus over to Hebden Bridge then train through to Accrington.

Especially with our past few results, I thought these tickets would've gone quickly. Hopefully a win at Barrow pushes a few more sales and makes it a sell out.

I do wonder if some people have prioritised Harrogate over Accrington tho? They were released within two days of each other.
People might have had to buy tickets for 3 matches (including Wycombe) within the space of a few days

Sure it will sell out quickly enough

Wasn't there twice as many for Accrington though?

Yes, 2030 I think. So Harrogate was always going to sell out quicker regardless

I'd also guess with Harrogate with it being an increased allocation there will be a few people who've never been to Harrogate whereas we've played Accrington many times before with big allocations so anyone that's wanted to go has already been. Also Accrington tickets being £25 will put people off especially if they are taking a child who's 12-17.

Yes it's a fairer way than priority cards/tickets but it would be interesting to know how much revenue the club lost but stopping the priority cards/ticket I believe originally the uptake was allowed up to 2000 but not sure what final figures were achieved in the seasons they were on sale, £35 each was a nice little earner for the club.

2 weeks to go and all seats gone already.
Won't be long before the terrace sells out.
Win tomorrow they'll be gone by Tuesday.
Also general sale makes for a better atmosphere.
