They haven't had to so far. The home sections sell out as soon as they go on sale and MK Dons, Wigan and Walsall have all sold out the away section. I get the impression that they regard visiting supporters as a nuisance they could do without and, if it weren't for EFL regulations, they probably would.

Wrexham's website is very poor with no proper ground guide and virtually no information for visiting supporters. Most of the info I've picked up has been from the visiting clubs' websites. For all their money, they come across as a poorly run club.

What’s the minimum amount of tickets we have to give them for the league game?
I’d stick them in the lower TL Dallas just for the spite of it.

2,000 minimum. I expect we'll offer them the usual 2 blocks of Midland Road and all of TL Dallas if they want it to cash in and start to recoup some of the money spent on the TL Dallas lower.

This is lifted from the Away Games website for visiting supporters.
‘Away fans are housed on one side of the Wrexham Lager stand, with a typical allocation of 1,500’. https://www.awaygames.co.uk/away-day-guides/wrexham-away/#1467741310114-3ab3c3df-340e
As you say there is a paucity of information. : unamused:

That is out of date, in that the allocation has been reduced down to no more than 1,165 (and for some clubs a bit less - based on allocations to other clubs this season).

I know this game isn't on "Sky" as a TV choice. But what are the chances of this game being picked up by an international TV station, especially one based in Canada? This that allowed? I know many FA Cup ties which aren't shown in England tend to be beamed around the world.

It tends to be that 1 game is picked as an extra to be shown around the world rather than individual tv stations picking an extra match. Last round Hull vs Doncaster was selected. With Chelsea being involved in this round and Fulham vs Tottenham I would expect either of them to be picked to suit a worldwide audience.

So far 11 of the 24 ties have had their date confirmed so I would expect the others to confirmed in the next couple of days.

So the game is now exactly 2 weeks away and we have no guaranteed date (assuming it will be Tues 29th) and no word of when tickets are on sale or how many we will get.
Why is it so hard for the club to give out information early enough for people to make plans such like travel and time off work?

Wrexham haven't got anything on sale either. I think directing this kind of thing for the Carlisle and Morecambe games is fair, but clearly until it is announced by Wrexham being at their ground this is on them. If Wrexham had announced everything and City were sat tight you may have had a point.

He’s sold the club now, general. Think its some Yank consortium.

not sure if the Russki was forced out ala Abramovich or if it was happening anyway

It could be being held up for TV or police. There are still 7 ties to be confirmed so we are not on our own

ESPN+ have rights to show games in the US & Canada for the league cup. Last round they picked another game but as said the PL teams have come into this so cant imagine Wrexham will be picked. I think ESPN mainly just pig back the feed of Sky with their own commentary, so their games they will definitely do will be Salford vs Leeds on the Tues and Doncaster vs Everton on the Weds.

Only one more season of putting up with selections, as part of the new EFL TV deal that comes in next season, every cup tie will be available on Sky. It will be like when they have a midweek Championship round at the minute, Sky will air one game on Sky Sports Football and the rest are available on the red button.

I don’t give a toss if it’s on TV or not. Just need to know which day to finish work early.
The same will apply to many others I guess.
