Exactly, if you have more possession you automatically have more opportunities? Not necessarily depends where you get possession, how much of the pitch do you still have to negotiate, assuming that means more goals or opportunities is crackers. You assume that the opposition will allow to to make progress!!

 

I'm not sure xg is easy to calculate before a ball has been kicked mind.

Yes, of course they do but xg is not one of them as there is no data. As the season develops they use xg more and more to compile odds.

 

I was saying in my friends' City chat, he always takes a few games to get going at the start of the season / return from injury but when he's up to speed, and for the last couple of games particularly, he's been class

 

Can XG confirm if Neufvilles shot was going in before the deflection by the Cardiff player .

I wonder if when we have more defenders available whether he'll stick with Touray at centre back and Wright at left wing back. They are both doing so well in spite of it probably being neither of their favoured positions

Going by the last two games, it makes us a better team, so yes I think that might be the preferred set up for now.

I think that's true. It seems that having the the Wright and Touray pairing has also given Bobby Pointon more confidence to be positive in his approach. A conundrum for GA when we do play against a more direct team.

Personally I can see why them ambitions of Stockport let him go, yes he was outstanding yesterday but just because he had a good 2nd half vs Town that he wasnt anonymous in the first and for most games hes played in. I love him, everyone does but hes an impact sub in this league and it should be the ever reliable Halliday at RWB with Neuf in front of him, he would have far more energy to run the defence ragged with Halliday in behind

 

Would either Halliday or Neuf have won the penalty yesterday like Sarc did? I doubt it.

 

I think it’s a wild call labelling Sarcevic as an impact sub in this league. I don’t disagree he’s taken some time to get started this season (injury/fitness) but it’s hardly as though hes been poor. Just not as effective as the standards we were used to last season. Even when not effective he’s had some really great spells.

Past two games he’s been back to what we saw last season. He’s far, far from an impact sub, but that’s simply my opinion.
