    Bang on.
No creativity in the areas that matter.
That last play from Richards where he should have crossed it but instead puts it out of play shows you where we are going forward at the moment.

Watching Leeds v. Coventry mate, hell this is on a different planet to our poor Sunday League stuff.
Our lot are a million years away from this.

    Don't know what's worse.

How utterly expected this all is or how embarrassing it is.

No slight on Harrogate as they clearly do well with their resources and fair play to them, but we could fill their stadium 2.5 times with just our ST numbers.

They shouldn't be outcompeting us year on year. A one off game perhaps, but the consistency of it is unacceptable. It's gross mismanagement from City and what's worse is it's all so damn predictable.

Infact, we won 6 out of our last 7 games last season so nothing to worry about.

Well run, good recruitment, good team and great manager.

Worryingly our big guns have not started. Walker looks injured again. Halliday looks like he is believing the hype. Pattison should have done more. Bobby showed is inexperience. Harrogate was always in your face fixture but we didn’t do it back until too late… cooks goal was opportunism not created. Not too Streeter we are going …..

Like many others, I am getting so sick of the inconsistency. In fact, the only consistency is the inconsistency.

We have some injury issues, show some promise in a (albeit low level) cup game, get an ok result against Wimbledon, then show that appalling performance in the first half (2nd wasn’t much better BTW) and again it’s back to all too familiar circumstances.

I don’t care what anyone says, even with the injuries, we have a starting XI capable of automatic promotion this season. Certainly one capable of managing todays game and coming out victorious.

The lack of discipline and constant yo-yo-ing just has to improve if want to stand any chance of getting any success this season.

Don’t forget the “moral victory” against Salford this season.
Not sure how many points you get for it.

I agree with the majority of this except that today's lineup was auto promotion quality.

Richards, Sanderson (and I like the look of him generally) Pointon aren't anything like automatic quality. Bringing Oduor on second half as a central midfielder isn't anything like automatic quality either.

I think we vastly overrate players and the reason for the inconsistency is because they aren't good enough. L2 isn't a difficult league tactically, but once again we have a squad that has no USP. We're not technical enough to play teams off the park nor are we powerful/pacy/physical enough to dominate teams either. We're OKish at most things but exceptional at nothing and whilst that's the case nothing will change.

I don’t like the way this club keeps sacking managers but the problems are our own making. We simply have to stop hiring the same kind of negative minded , turgid managers.
I don’t think he’ll be gone even if we lose on Tuesday, it’ll be constant draws / losses at home that will see the end of him.
We’ve been beaten (again) by a family run club that have 2000 home fans and likely a much lower playing budget.
We can blame Rupp till the cows come home but I’ll guess he’s providing more funds to Alexander than Weaver senior is to his son.

I did say Walker will be in and out this season. Seeing out his one year. Madness extending his contract if we wasn’t going to give him the two years he wanted.

Until Sparks and Rupp go this club will always be a mess.

I mean if you’re gonna play 4-4-2 then do it properly! it can’t be with Walker and Pointon as the wingers.
    Alexander OUT !

Automatic promotion, no chance, this lot can't even do the basics right. More fight in a wet tissue.

Just had the grandson in my ear he's working away and reacting like some on here, Weaver has been at Harrogate since 2009 since then he has transformed Harrogate from sixth-tier strugglers to an above average league two side with little money, I'm not suggesting we allow Alexander that sort of time in the managerial seat but unfortunately with the crowds we can generate being successful comes with the job and most accept there are no guarantees with the appointment of a new manager regardless of his past success's, we've seen that with regards McCall, Hopkin, Adams, Bowyer, Hughes and up to a point Alexander they've all had promotions on their CV some more than one promotion.
I don't know the answer but I certainly won't be calling for Alexanders head, if we do IMO we've learnt nothing from the previous sackings, you've watched City long enough to know we could go to Morecambe and bring all three points back to Valley Parade, we have injuries but that IMO does not negate from the sort of start we saw today.
So many not involved today certainly not in the first half, players who need to be on their game as we as a team rely on them to make things happen, I thought with his return to Harrogate Pattison would be at it from the off but along with others he was so disappointing, what do they say after a defeat the team/management are glad the next game is days away well lets see how you react to today all-round poor showing.

It’s a results driven business mate. It’s irrelevant that we persistently sack managers because if the next incumbent is no better, they’ll suffer the same fate.
Are you suggesting that come Xmas if we are some way off the play off positions that GA should still be here?

That after match interview has wound me up.
He did mention it near the end about 70 mins remaining to do something but that should have been the emphasis, not a side comment.
So what if we were 2 down after 20 mins.
We were only a goal behind for 45 mins but couldn't find a way to do anything about it because nearly all of the players, not Benn or Odour, played just as crap in the second half too.
Why can't we do what other winning teams do??
Over come adversity and find a way to win??
Because our general play isn't reliable enough to do that?
What is he saying? We need to be level or 1 up at half time to win a match?
Promotion winners have better options than that.

Even accepting how poor we were today professional footballers should be capable of the basics and we saw little of that in the first half the few times we had the ball, and if you cant do the basics you have problems.
I get it after todays performance you need a pick me, up but f*****g Leeds United come on mate your better than that go wash your mouth out .
