If Pointon is given the 3rd, there’s some very creative accounting going on. Looking at the replay he doesn’t seem to touch it, and the manner of his reaction isn’t one of a man who thinks he's just bagged a hat trick for his boyhood club against their local rivals in front of a sell out crowd.

 

Personally I’d have given Pointon or Wright MOTM, but its good to have several candidates!

Wow, what a game that was! Already back at the airport flying back to the Netherlands but so bloody glad I came over for that.

Thought we were second best for the first 20-30 mins but again, how bloody resilient are we? An absolutely brilliant end to the half and over the 90mins, thought we thoroughly deserved the win.

superb performances all over the pitch - especially Bobby, Baldwin, Pennington, Toure, Power and Neufville. However pick of the bunch for me was Tyriek Wright. Hands down best game I’ve seen from him in a city shirt. Bobby will deservedly get the plaudits, but Wright for me was absolutely fantastic today. That’s the player we signed - really happy for him.

What a win. It won’t right history of Gordon Watson’s horror injury, but it felt bloody good to get one over them today.

Another vote for Tyreik Wright as man of the match today. What a tremendous performance both going forward and defensively.
I was worried after the first 15 minutes but as soon as we scored Huddersfield just wilted.

It's been a cracking day for me. Whilst at the match I won 2 trophies at the West Yorkshire Organic Show for best alcoholic drink and best bread, plus 2 other 1sts, 4 seconds, 2 thirds and a highly commended. OH had to collect the prizes.

He was interviewed after the match and said they watched it in the changing room slowed down and he got the final touch.

He said he didnt want to celebrate at the time as he wasn't sure and he didnt want to take the spotlight from Josh which shows really good team spirit in my view.
