He gets a bit of stick (some justified) but I thought he was very good today.

 

When he went off we had 1 centre back on. I'm not surprised they had a sniff, but boy were they poor.

 

I backed 3-1 also, couldn’t get any internet in the stadium thankfully, otherwise I would have cashed out also

 

Meant to mention as impressive as the last 30 minutes of the 1st half were, the way we managed the first 30 minutes of the 2nd half showed great maturity and composure

 

That was Wright’s best game for us.
I agree with @Botswana Bantam about him needing to be a bit more forward thinking but I thought he linked up with Pointon well going forward and equally he did the tracking back and defending that’s required of a wing-back.

Just my MOTM in front of Power and Pointon.

 

I get you BB , but today isn’t for being over critical tbh. Considering that was a cobbled together back line , we have to be chuffed . They were only good for 25 mins and didn’t capitalise. Second half we could have had a net full imho.

Great performance after the first 15 minutes or so. Neufville superb down the right and caused all sorts of problems for their defender. Pointon brilliant with his anticipation of his goals. As others have said Wright was superb. Looked like his old self. Controlled the ball well and at one point when Cooky was in the area and fans hoping for a cross he just kept possession and passed it back to help run the clock down.

To me it felt like a trend that was similar to the Stockport and Barnsley game. Thankfully, our first goal settled us down and we looked more composed.

 

Wright my man of the match today too Dave. His best performance in a City shirt.

Baldwin was excellent at the back, some of his passing was superb. Considering he only trained yesterday after a niggle, very impressive indeed. Hopefully he will be okay for next weekend.

Tilt out for a few weeks and Joe Wright for at least a couple of weeks apparently.

But today, every player rose to the occasion magnificently and its wonderful to be a Bantam right now.

I was surprised how Huddersfield offered no response after the opening goal after dominating up until then.

 

I personally dont get the stick some give him, but yes we struggled after he went off at the back

 

Grant must have been the only one in the ground who was happy with his team playing tippy tappy football and trying to play out from the back, he played right into our hands, having said that our finishing was clinical today, in this league you have to adapt if it ain't working there are enough subs available to change it, poor management Mr Grant.
