Agree with you, but I’d argue it was Jon’s easiest clean sheet of the season. We could have had Stevie Wonder in net and kept a clean sheet, the 3 saves he had to make were child’s play. Well done to the back 3 who were immense in their duels and as a unit.

 

A statement of intent that result today for me. Luton are no mugs despite their league position but after breaking our notts county hoodoo last week we have now broken the Luton curse.

We just look like a team that just play for one another and put bodies on the line. Everyone knows their job working hard with non stop pressing. I just hope the international break doesn't break our momentum that said Wright could be back when we return which will be an added bonus.

I doubt many teams will fancy playing us that's for sure.

 

Correct. I think people forget what a tough start to the season we've had away from home.

It's inevitable, we'll be occasionally overrun and not create much.

 

GA got lots of criticism for signing Connolly and wanting him to play midfield, but so far he has been brilliant yes the midfield at times has looked imbalanced but he looks absolutely the right player for that position

 

I think you and others forget that he's just arguably played against the three best midfields in his first four away matches. So for instance he was fine at Notts County.

I remember Sarc having lots of poor games, since he came to us, against decent opposition - but it's now a big problem, because of his postion change.

I don't think he has the energy to play that wide forward right correctly anymore - so unconvinced that the results would be better.

That was a most enjoyable way to spend 95 minutes. Looking like a good side, a real team unit and one that will be tough to beat. Hope we can keep everyone in one piece, we play with such physicality that injuries seem inevitable. Couple of weeks off will be a blessing for some, but the momentum we have at the moment will be lost. Come on City!

Most of the clean sheets in the league have been quite simple for him, today is only the 2nd game this season he's had more than 2 saves to make. Before today we had conceded the fewest shots on target and 3rd fewest shots with 4th lowest % of shots from inside the box against.

We're a great example of a team that defends from the front and very rarely give up good chances, if you keep doing that you give yourself a very good chance of keeping lots of clean sheets.

 

I think when we finally sack Beesley off, we will score more goals with Humps and Powell, while still being strong defensively
