The Voice - Match preview #7: Luton Town vs Bradford City Saturday 19th September 2026 3:00pm

I saw the Stevenage game and Luton played like they did at VP last season, all tippy tappy stuff and going nowhere. However, I think Wilshere will have them playing differently tomorrow at home.

 

We need to have more speed and bravery in attack. Our wide players to burst forwards at every opportunity and get the ball into the box, hopefully something will drop for Beesley.
We’re pretty solid at the back so if we take the lead I’d expect to hold onto it.

 

Haven’t won at Luton since 1968 with a 3-1 win and taken some fearful defeats . 5-0 in 1969 and a couple of 4-0 defeats in 2004 and 2017. So maybe it’s time for our fortunes to change down there, but probably not.

I remember that game in 2017. Pissing down with rain and we got absolutely battered.

Can’t remember who it was but we basically tried to play everything through one player (One of the good West Ham loanees I think) so they just double marked him and we had no back up plan.

It was a long train home and I only live 20 minutes away!

yeah flew down for it in on a tues night from Inverness, meeting you was great, the football less so!

 

I have been to Luton twice. 4-0 losses both times. You will be relieved to hear I am not going today.

 

We could have gotten at least a draw at Luton last season.. decent second half.
Wheatley's two one on ones with the keeper could have swung it for us.

1 change from last week with Jackson coming in for Phillips who's on the bench.

 

I think it's right to bring in someone (Jackson in this case) for Phillips. Phillips is a mystery to me, not sure where we should be playing him but wide, right forward isn't the place.

 

Expected same 18 and Jackson for Phillips is fair. Away kit today, forced by their Orange and Black.
