Just as a side note watching Fleetwood v Morecambe on Sky. Although Morecambe aren't up to much I've been impressed with Fleetwoods forward play. Young side that like to attack with pace.

 

Danny Mayor looks levels above anyone else. Now that is a proper wide player.

 

We chronically lack pace up front like that.

Morecambe are truly shocking though

 

Just amusing myself trying to imagine modern centre backs wrestling with Bobby Campbell or Joe Cooke.

 

Cue Morecambe stuffing us 4-0 now ...

 

If refs stopped blowing up and talking to players but instead waited until play had restarted and started giving free kicks and penalties, within a few weeks it would stop.

 

God forbid that we ever try that sort of nonsense .....

Absolute daylight robbery to get a draw.

 

Fleetwood looked good for 70 minutes, then looked every bit the younger side as they let Morecambe get back into it without really doing anything special.

Fleetwood have more potential, perhaps, but they should be very disappointed.

 

Songo'o was woeful in the first half. He took his goal well, but never man of the match for me.

 

Fleetwood would have leapfrogged above us had they won, come the end of the season this might matter for all the teams around us.

 

The next two matches will be a real battle Harrogate will always be that way and Morecambe with Adams in charge will be really up for it.

 

Are we really expected to be crapping ourselves over those 2 outfits... ?

 

Shouldn't be at all. Minimum 4 points but need 6 really after dropping points recently. Especially Morecambe, no excuse not to beat them

 

Is that how low we've fallen as a club? Thinking that anything other than 6 points would be acceptable?

 

Nothing less than six points from these two.

 

Our recent form against them is exceptional.........Not!
So perhaps not crapping ourselves but certainly wary.

 

Too early to read anything into the table, but it's a bit worrying that Notts County and Gillingham are already potentially getting away from us.

Gillingham's defence has been superb (2 conceded) and Notts County are showing they have firepower (14 scored) while everything about us statistically is bang average.

Come on, City, let's turn up the volume a little bit and show some form.

 

I think Gillingham had a good start last year and fell off too. Notts are a good team now that they can defend.
Not convinced there's 3 teams better than us in this league though, all about us being consistent. We certainly need to improve
