Yeah I think this idea that because we forcibly extended his contract, he must have been upset about it is misplaced.

He got the pay he wanted, that's the long and short of it, well played to him, he must have known that was the likely outcome of not signing a new deal and so it played out.

 

Got away with that first half getting in level and without needing to bring off Kelly. If we can get on the ball more and stop giving it away within 2 passes I think we'll be able to cause them issues. The worry for me is that this isn't the first time this season we seem to have no control of the game and hanging on like it's the last minute of a cup final when you are 1-0 up.

Edit: just seen that Pattison has come on for Kelly. Hope it's only a precaution and nothing long term for Kelly as we are back to the same issues as last year with Richards needing to play LCB,

 

Not sure about Wright at left back. Might have been better with Jay Benn replacing Kelly and pushing Wright further up?
