The Voice - Match preview #6: Walsall vs Bradford City Saturday 14th September 2024 3:00pm

The best opposition we've faced so far this season in all competitions in terms of (albeit early) league positioning.

This match will tell us a lot about where we're at.

If we win this, I'll start feeling optimistic for promotion this season.

 

It should be an interesting game today, both sides have had fairly easy starts on paper. We've not played a team that currently sits in the top 10 and Walsall have faced Tranmere (10th) then the next highest is Cheltenham in 15th. Get a win today and it sets up a big game next week against Wimbledon.

Walsall have the highest xG in the league so looks like they create a lot of good chances but they do have the 2nd worst negative xG performance so waste some of those good chances. Defensively they look good as well with the 2nd lowest shots against and shots on targets against.

 

Tough game today but the sort of game you need to get something from if you want to maintain a top 3 challenge.
Whilst we may not be where we want to be performance wise,we’re not far off points wise and today is a chance to show that those performances are improving.

What I don’t want is another “I don’t know where that performance came from” excuse at the end of another Grimsby esque showing.

We’ve had far too many of those in recent seasons.

Don’t understand why we’re not playing in white instead of the bloody awful blue kit.

 

It's all about getting the money on the pitch m9.

 

Because Walsall play in white shorts and socks and we'd have to change those anyway so we might aswell use the blue kit than a mix and match effort.

I'd rather play in the white shirts and pair up with the black shorts instead of that dreadful 3rd kit

 

Anyone notice radio Leeds commentary on firestick. Is this because it’s no longer classed as iFollow. Always got the home commentary before.

I'm not sure kit taste is a specific ruling in the FA laws

 

It doesn't seem an option to have the non-city commentary anymore. The app automatically launches on the City commentary whether at home or away. If it is an option, I haven't seen how to do it.

 

There are TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE shades of pantone blue.

Whoever chose that colour should be never allowed to chose anything in their entire life ever again.

 

Especially when paired with the warm up tops
