I complain about referees a lot in the match threads but usually they get some calls right and some wrong.

The referee today was arguably the worst ever in memory.

- Yellow cards for nothing challenges, including one to Cook for touching the GKs water bottle apparently
- Never a penalty
- Freekick for the comical dive by their striker
- Stopped play for players down when it wasn’t head injuries
- Protected their goalkeeper at every opportunity
- Maybe a stretch but that foul on Walker looked very naughty and could have been more than a yellow if Walker made more of a meal of it
- Another stretch but thought he was a bit off it his advances too. I noticed a few times he had his hand up still even though the advantage had gone

 

I've not said he isn't allowed a poor game but it was right for him not to be starting at the start of the season as Pattison and Sarcevic deserved to. He got an opportunity against Grimsby in the cup and he didn't play well, he got another opportunity against Newcastle and he took it. When there is the competition for places in his position if you are off it then you are at risk of losing your place.
It's not just about his work rate but after the Sunderland friendly game as soon as the final whistle went he was off down the tunnel, that isn't a good look and not the look of a player who is happy.

 

Probably because some absolute moron threw a flare on to the pitch! Again! We also have a lap of appreciation at the end of every home game.

 

To confirm, Sanderson has the same amount of goals for us as Oliver despite playing 15% of the games that Oliver has.

 

Easy way out blame the ref

Did the ref miss that sitter in the 2nd half ????
Did the ref make changes to late yet again ???
Did the ref bring that sack of shit Oliver on ????
Did the ref make us go out at play so badly in the 1st half ????

Honestly we have some shocking refs over the tears and some have fooked us over but today was down to us and not the ref

 

I’m more than interested to see why they continually fall down the leagues and now currently 20th in the khazi league . We knock ourselves and praise them for some bizarre reason because they allegedly have a “ plan” .

Morrais a million times better and even he’s a bit dull and provides little ‘insight’

 

Fans love to give it out but can't take it when it's given back at them. The keeper will be laughing tonight with the 3 points and sit back as we get potentially another fine for throwing objects onto the pitch. If Walker is doing that we are loving it just like we love it when Cook gives it back to so many fans.

 

The problem is that sometimes he does in the wrong moments in the wrong places, todays yellow card was very needless and gave away a cheap free kick in a dangerous area. In his time here he's been sent off twice for 2 yellow cards and both times they were totally unnecessary and avoidable.

 

Our fans shouldn't be so f****** gullible in reacting

 

The next four games are Wimbledon H, Harrogate A, Morecambe A and Newport H. We should be looking for at least 8 points from that batch but I wonder what we’ll actually get. We got just 4 points from the same games last season with two heavy defeats at Harrogate and Morecambe.

If not, you won’t have seen the gestures and goading from their players towards the away end.

 

Gullible? It’s about being emotive and caring.
I can handle losing football matches but I can’t tolerate goading. Players should be professional and not get involved with inciting violence in the away end.

 

Every fanbase thinks the referees are against them, it just the mentality in football. It's much easier for Alexander to deflect the poor 1st half onto the referee rather than look at what the team didn't do right. The referee isn't the reason we didn't take Byrne off quicker or the reason we couldn't string 2 passes together or why Oduor missed an open goal or why we let their man have a free header for the goal.

There have been plenty of times where we have decision go our way but they quickly get forgotten. Ultimately with referees they can never please everyone and most decisions will have 1 side that is unhappy with it.

I watched the Doncaster game on Thursday and Grant McCann was complaining about the referee not giving them a free kick on the half way line even though they had advantage and they got the ball to the edge of Harrogate's area then lost the ball.

 

We can’t say we should be looking to get x, y or z if we can’t best Walsall

 

Oh the irony

 

Big fan of Fil but he has some weird shouts the other week. He claimed Kelly is a good defender for one

 

There have been some memorable ones over the years. I enjoyed the Stan Collymore gesture towards the L666ds fans.

 

Wimbledon look very good and will embarrass us at home. Once it goes 0-1, the fans will turn and from there, we will lose 0-3/4/5

 

Harrogate will bum us dry like they always do.

Concerns were raised before the season and after the transfer window.
Toothless attack which will not score enough goals.

We’ve not been convincing all season and most can see it won’t get much better without quality players brought in.

Call it negative as some say, but in reality it looks like another huff puff finale to mediocrity
