I thought we played better on Saturday. Work still to do, especially going forward.

Carlisle had a few opportunities but it didn't feel like they were going to score until the freak spinny ball. Extremely hard to be critical of Sam Walker, it was literally a freak goal. It will likely never happen again to him or us.

Sanderson supporting Cooky made a huge difference. Someone to do his running and cause an absolute nuisance. I wish Brad would stop cutting in because he doesn't have a left foot to whip the ball with. He looked more like the Brad of last season apart from end product.

Wright- I don't see what he offers over Richards, in fact Richards at least is good defensively. But GA must see something.

Carlisle will probably come good. This may be a better result than it seems (like Stockport last season).

    Oh, Jamie Walker is class.

    Probably timing.

Abusing people on social media, and obsessing about this, has become a normalised behaviour for some, I would argue more so now than when Charlie Wyke moved on. This behaviour is then carried on into the ground.

I'm confused as to what you're actually asking for here. You're berating Halliday for lack of end product but then asking what our other wing back brought after he made the winning goal.

You can't often have it both ways with wing backs and especially not in league two. Either they'll be more of a full back and solid defensively or more of a winger and better offensively. The key is obviously balance and only time will tell if we've achieved that.

No surprise Halliday played better with Diabate behind him. Amazing what having a decent centre back behind you does.

This must be absolute nonsense. I was told Baldwin had been "excellent" so far this season.

I'd tag the poster but it's bullying or summat.

Not really about the happy clappers its about having a bit of respect for him like he did us ..........any guy who takes time out to travel down to the memorial deserves more than a few loons booing him

To be fair I think Baldwin has been the better of the three he's gone with pre Diabete but Diabete looked very composed when on the ball. Didn't seem to panic when in possession, something I've been critical of us as a team so far.

Timing and the move itself is my guess? Carlisle last January, was never an opportunistic move. Everyone and their nan knew they were going down, even in January. That transfer was never about his chance to play higher, it was about money, pure and simple. And I'm not having a pop at him for that in the slightest, I'd have done the same thing. His missus was pregnant with their first child, it's a short career, especially as a GK as one bad spell can send you back down to being a back up and not knowing when you're next game is. Grab what is on offer, I'm fully on board with that. But there was a feel good factor around the club again, certain for the almost season then Lewis had a poor 6 months. Wyke going, Sunderland was clearly a step up. He was going to a challenger rather than us who were in full on Rahic mode at the time and the dumpster fire of a season was about to begin.

Just in my view, but I don't get the booing ex players thing, never have. Just seems really childish to me. Me and the wife sit in block C, last 2 seats on our row before it comes D block. Around us in the first half it was the same old faces as a normal game with a fair few empties. Second half comes and every empty seat was taking by some teens in stone island, including the two spares at the side of us, who's only intention that half was to scream stuff at Lewis as loud as they could, in-between sneaking vape puffs from their stoney sleeve. But it wasn't even booing, it was screaming crap about his missus, his child, just really poor taste stuff. Booing, yeah it always happens always does and you boo and that's your fun. But you could hear the crap being said for rows and rows infront and it's just embarrassing what must go through some of their heads.

Literally said Wright isn't great defensively whereas Halliday was. You're picking it apart because you're a whopper, you've seen who's posted so decided to see what you can pick at. You could argue with yourself in a mirror. Do us all a favour and do that instead.

I didn't mention Wright's cross did I? Lewis Richards was pinging balls in and linking up well Tuesday. So I said I don't see what Wright offers over him. It was a good assist.

I would like Halliday to whip a cross instead of cutting in where he has to then pass with his right because he won't use his left. I'm a big fan of Halliday. There's no berating, constructive criticsm. Back on ignore

    Fair enough

In that case everyone who clapped him are giving the opposition a foot up...?
It wasn't a "few loons" was it, I reckon there were as many booing him as there were clapping him from where I was sat

Each to their own though isn't it. Everyone has paid their money to get in so don't they have a right to express their feelings, or is it a big NO from you just because it goes against your beliefs??

Diabete looks a half decent player at this level in the couple of games i've watched him, but he does look a bit prone to just smashing the ball into touch when under pressure, even if he has a few seconds to pick put a pass. Something that GA doesn't like

In fairness, I'm picking it apart because it didn't make much sense. That said, if you feel Richards offers the same as Wright going forward then perhaps that's why I struggled to see the sense in it.

If it helps you to throw abuse at the me instead of discussing the post though, fire away.

Works the opposite way as well. As someone else said, Kelly isn't as bad as Wright makes him look.

We made money on him so whats the issue can you actually blame him for wanting to leave this mess and go to a club that are ambitious??????

Put it this way there are fair few players out there who have openly crapped on us and didnt get the boo boy treatment.

It doesnt really matter Steve, it’s a storm in a teacup isn’t it.

It doesn’t offend me as such, just find it a little cringeworthy that a player I felt gave good service to our club, and went above and beyond at times with the fans/attending fire memorial, was ‘thanked’ by a chorus of boos.

a lot of the young uns get caught up in the moment and just joined in. I sit in NWC and it sounded like as many boo’d as cheered in the Kop, yeah.

the most important thing is City won. Had we lost, and if Lewis had saved a pen, maybe more of us who clapped would have wished we boo’d.

I just hope the lad gets his career back on track as he’s lost his way from being the player many of us thought had Championship potential for a good chunk of his time here - before his head was turned and he lost his form badly.

You clearly took no notice of my original post before sending this reply. I have no issue whatsoever with Lewis leaving, I was over the moon he had gone and even more impressed we commanded money for him. I just aren't into applauding ex players unless they have legendary status. and especially not during the game

    Childish Adult here.
I've stood and booed every touch that Ince made. Absolutely no problem with him moving onwards and upwards, but to be photographed wearing another clubs shirt 6 months earlier than the transfer.
Never understood the hatred at our place for Lampard, we got a good fee for him and we'd sacked his uncle and dad!

I think Diabete got better as the game went on but he never looked like he wanted the ball and almost always played a short ball to Halliday. Looked very solid in defence though. On the other side of the coin I think Baldwin is far and away our most comfortable defender with the ball and tends to move it much more quickly, giving Brad more time to decide.....before passing it back or inside

We definitely have a high percentage of cuckolds in our fan base. We do have a tendency to clap anything, whether that be returning players or even the crowd attendance for some bizarre reason. Each to their own I guess.
