Well, there's always going to be times when he scores the only goal or goals. That's the way he is. I'm positive about Sanderson. I can see him scoring a few goals this season and he already has two. But it needs others to step up as well and today we had very few shots on target outside the Cook ones. I think we're always going to rely on Cook but can the others get enough goals?

 

I really enjoyed it and thought it was our best performance of the season so far, play like that every game we'll go up.
Walker, smallwood, cook, Byrne, Diabate, Sanderson& Oduor were all class today andvon the top of their game.
I love this football club! Get in thee city!!

 

He lost it a fair few times when a simple ball was on, not as bad as the Bromley game but just the simple stuff.

Wright was having an absolute shocker until the assit for the second. I lost count how many errors he had, especially first half.

 

There wasn't a lot of space for Walker, Pointon, Oduor, Pattison today. They had a decent midfield. Unfair to comment on Pattison given hl he had so few minutes but the difference between the other threw was that Walker and Pointon were showing for the ball more. Walker was the best of the bunch today. Oduor had one of those really annoying games were he was really ineffective, almost like he'd won the starting place so he stopped trying. It's probably unfair to say that but I'm not sure how to describe it. He is just frustratingly inconsistent.

Enjoyed that today.

Thought Smallwood had a good game.

Sanderson worked really well around Cook and looks very mobile.

Diabete looks very calm and composed and is a unit.

I want Wright to attack players more, I know he crossed for Cooks goal but at time he was one on one with the full back and switched back or inside.

Byrne had a solid game as well.

And a cracking atmosphere for most of the game.

Easy mistake to make...................

 

If we'd played really well and been kept out by 4 wonder saves and conceded a spawny deflection I'd be fine with that.

 

Especially when Cook scored his second and what turned out to be the winner, most of the stadium joined in chanting "your not singing any more" to the 1700 traveling Carlisle fans , love a bit of banter.

 

I meet many of these stat bros. The only stat that matters is promotion in May. Doncaster had what? Maybe a low percentage chance of reaching the play offs last season? Also Leipzig were 2-0 down at half time to Leverkusen and had a 1% chance of winning but did.

Basically, these stats look good but are pointless

 

Only problem with L2 and only 2 relegation spots is nobody bothers with the classic "GOING DOWN" chant lol should have given them a big rendition of that to wind em up!

 

I think he plays better on his own, rather than with someone beside him. Does leave him exposed to pacey counter attacks though

 

It's a simple equation at this level. You feed Andy Cook and he will score, the cross from Wright meat and drink to our mercurial number 9. Lad looks fitter than I've ever seen him, testament to the professional attitude he has.

 

It is League Two were in, it wasn't a pulsating game but it wasn't as bad as some are making out, enjoy the 3 points, one defeat in 5 games still bedding in, lets not forget we would have been joint top if the officials had done their job correctly against Salford.

 

Couldn’t go today and pretty decent win, but sounds like another huff and puff performance?

It was a pretty even game and maybe a draw would have been a fair result but it was an improvement on Grimsby so hopefully heading in the right direction.

 

I've been a harden critic of Smallword in his time with us. I've always felt, he thought it was beneath him to both Play for BCAFC and also in the khazi league. It almost feels like his taken his chip of his shoulder and decided to give it a go. Thought he was superb today and also with the Gk's fcuk up he was 1st to put an arm around him. He's turning into the captain I'd hoped we'd signed and not the sulking petulant child that I've seen in the 1st 18 months of his contract.
