MOTM for me Smallwood, never stopped grafting, a true Captain's performance.

He has to do so much work in this team, even if his free kicks are dross@

 

What he has done much better in the last couple of matches is receive the ball, turn, get his head up, pass forward. Seems like the tap backwards and one touch curls over the top have gone away thankfully. He's very important in getting us playing forwards.

 

I feel if we had a second genuine midfielder in the three, we would be so much stronger. One midfielder and two attacking midfielders by nature puts so much onto him.

 

Ugh. The very worst of Smallwood. Seemed to have a spell of about 20 games last season where that was the only thing he did.

 

In what world was Harry Lewis not out the box there? Let’s be honest. Decent first season but he’s turned into one of the worst I’ve ever seen. He was shocking today

Thank god for that! Mentioned in the week about winning the ugly games, maybe this performance fits into that?

Sam Walkers earned enough credit to be forgiven for the error.

Smallwood and Jamie Walker standout for me. Think we saw the best parts of what Walker offers today with his press and decision making at the right time. Naturally Cook as well - where would we be without his goals?

I really like the look of Diabate. Thought Byrne looked steady enough as well.

Question marks still on Wright. We saw the good for the cross of the goal, but outside of that I’d question how comfortable he looks in this position. What’s the realistic alternative??

I thought Richiedid the work of 2 men today but in my opinion his free kicks were his usual weak area

Difference today was Andy Cook. We have a quality striker they don't. If they'd had Cooky today they may well have won.
