Chesterfield were abysmal first half, we were abysmal after we went 3-1 up!

 

Hard to write while my emotions are high, utterly furious at Alexander's game management. Taking off Khela started the chain reaction in a game where we were in pretty much complete control. The other subs after acting like a nuclear reaction to a point where were hanging on for grim death for a draw. We should never have lost that game, GAs arse has fallen out.

 

Just like Swindon Alexander's subs baffle me and have cost us a minimum of 3pts if not 5 from those two games.

 

I always thought that todays game was going to be a repeat (to a certain extent) of the Swindon game. As soon as we went 2-0 up I knew that the next goal was going to be huge and what seemed inevitable happened. It was always going to be a battle against the mind, a fear of losing, haunted by poor away form, giving away winning positions. We just don't have that confidence, belief or mental toughness to see it through. The only good thing I can say is that Walsall don't seem to have it either. In the end I think we will have to rely on Walsall and their relegation form.

 

As soon as he took Khela off we all knew didn't we..?

Never mind a touchline ban GA should be given a stadium ban.....

 

The mentality in this team is a disgrace and they need to figure it out ASAP. Two wins since our last run of form in early March.

So many late goals, so many errors when they try sit on leads. They are awful to watch lately and need to get their heads right.

 

We must be the only team who bring fresh legs and fresh defenders on and still concede more and score less goals than with the tired players on.

 

Very disappointing this we needed a win over Notts or Chesterfield I fear it won’t be in our own hands when we play Fleetwood. I like Alexander and would keep him whatever happens but it’s a long time since I was so gutted after a match

Here my take.

We threw away two points because of the inexplicable subbing of Khela . He was having an outstanding game anchoring the midfield .

We take him off to put Walker on who IS NOT a midfield anchor.

We lost our shape completely , they gained control of the midfield . Let’s be honest they were abysmal and we were totally dominant yet we handed impetus to them when in control.

A big mistake GA. Once agsin fortunately results went our way but strewth that decision I can’t and won’t explain .

 

GA says that Khela told him at HT that he felt ill. Why not just take him off at HT then? And why did he look so surprised to go off? GA not taking responsibility at all.

 

Was saying this the other day to another City fan I don’t know. We’ve been in the thick of a title race but I just haven’t enjoyed this season. Too many bad days away from home.

we’ve put on some masterclasses at home but it just seems like frustration and relief most of the time!

From all the players up to the management ..........braindead ...........a game that was there for the taking yet again we have managed to fook up because our mentality is so fooking poor.
Simply go in 2-0 up at half time and we see it out.
Thats down to the players even at 3-1up see it out but my god does GA want out of this league ???
We simply cannot sit back and hope Walsall continue to fook up they yet again have been given another life line and one that i think they will take

 

this is not an enjoyable promotion season, we are staggering to the finish line, I fear a sting in the tail

 

I don't get the Khela substitution which left us, in the final few minutes, with Crichlow sitting in front of the defence lashing the ball to their keeper.

Had Tommy Leigh taken that chance we would probably be having a different discussion. However, today was a huge opportunity and we can all see the mathematics. In particular, Donny would have been thinking about not risking losing if we had been just a point behind.

Today I put squarely on GA. He's not helped us get over the line.
