Didn't he put the cross in that resulted in our second goal?

    Why panic though ???
Rather the club came out and said that the targets we went for where either to pricey or simply not willing to come rather than piss up money on a load of players that where well down our list ............if we where serious about Mullin he would have been in the begining of Jan not the back where you could tell it was a signing to try and get us on side

It was always going to be struggle to get what we wanted as our ideal player is effectively a league 1 Haaland and there are very few of them around and any that are have a huge price inflated even more for a January window.
It's the reality of a window that you don't always get plan A and so you have to go for B,C or D, if you don't you risk the squad being light. At the point Mullin signed we had no idea if Powell would play again, Swan was also injured so even if we knew Wheatley and Jackson were coming in so that left us with 3 fit strikers whilst Sarcevic was still injured and Pointon was just coming back from an injury.

We will have been 1 of a number of clubs looking for the same players and bringing them in would have been no guarantee of success, lots wanted Hardie but he's been an expensive mistake for Huddersfield playing only 6 games then getting injured again. Beesley was too expensive and I'm glad we didn't just throw money at him as I can see him being one of these strikers that has a good half a season then becomes average very quickly.
