Before AC's injury how many games did Kav play 00 minutes as main striker?

 

Who cares, the discussion point was surrounding his contribution after Cooks injury

 

That's how I saw it when I watched the extended highlights....

Have to say that was hard to follow from pitch level and bright sunshine.

 

Really?

 

Couple of things stood out for me from those highlights:
- The best view yet of the ‘tackle’ on Pattison. That is the very definition of a straight red challenge. Unbelievable he wasn’t dismissed.
- Just how good Kav’s finish was. He had a lot to do. He beautifully controlled the dropping ball with two deft touches and then calmly slotted it home. If that had been a PL game shown on MotD they’d be glowing about the skill involved.

 

He's started 11 games since and got 5 goals plus 3 assists

 

Oh, so you're not counting the sub appearances but you are counting the assist he got at Salford when coming on as a sub?

Good stats but I think I'll stick to the factual ones I posted rather than picking and choosing what to include.

 

Well I was originally just talking about the goals... I'll still take 5 goals in 11 starts with 2 assists. Really not bad figures for a 21 year old understudy

 

How about facts instead. Saves people cherry picking to try and prove points.

 

He wasn't playing as the 9 prior to Cook getting injured, the whole discussion was about whether he was doing well as an understudy to him so the facts I stated are the relevant ones.

 

Clearly not as your stats include him getting an assist without even playing. They're the very definition of absolute nonsense.

 

I corrected that:

"I'll still take 5 goals in 11 starts with 2 assists. Really not bad figures for a 21 year old understudy"

You can decide those figures aren't good enough but you can't dispute their accuracy

 

Why not take out every game he didn't score against Crewe at home in too?

Scores an average of 2 a game.
#GOAT.

 

I'm not cherry picking though, I set the criteria from the outset - performances when starting since Cook was injured. I'm not interested in how he's done as a sub when building fitness coming back from an injury

In those 4 games he came off the bench returning from injury since he started playing number 9, which you so desperately want to include to make his stats look worse, he played a total of 80 minutes, so less than a full game.

Even including those minutes he's scoring at a rate of 1 every 145 minutes.

 

"I'm not cherry picking" ...... Yet you're only including the games you want to put in the statistics during his decent run. Unless he'd have scored coming off the bench and then obviously you'd have add that one in too.

Oh, and the mystical assist that he provided without even playing, let's not forget that little beauty.

For the avoidance of doubt and to hopefully put an end to this nonsense, I've already stated that Kavs record is very decent of late, much better than his performances anyway, which have probably drawn most of the criticism aimed his way.

 

I just did include his minutes off the bench, just for you. A goal every 145 minutes

You need to do your maths again.

1285 league minutes played since Cooks injury, not including the 84 he played up front at Barrow and totalled 5 league goals.

That's a goal every 257 minutes or a little better than 1 in 3.
