Sorry mate but if you’re happy watching that crap for 90 minute and you are happy with 3 points then you must have a great job and a very fulfilling life to waste an afternoon.. I’m afraid I’m a bit of a dinosaur, what can I say? If you are happy with 3 points and not be entertained, why not just stay in and put Final score on at 4:50?

As expected, a narrow win, but I am with @Bronco, its all about the 3 points for me today.

I thought we played some decent stuff at times, but we have little goal threat unfortunately, so we are never going to hammer anybody.

Neufville my man of the match today. Decent performances from Humphries and Metcalfe.

Defence looked in control today and we saw the game out comfortably in my opinion.

Hopefully we can grind out a result at Wycombe on Monday, a draw would be very welcome.

Nice to see the gap to 7th has increased to 7 points with just 6 games to go.

Take each game on its own Bronco but the worry has to be we aren't good enough to take on the top sides over two legs.

I can't really remember the last stand out good performance.

They were awful at the back today and that should have been shooting practice for our strikers but we severely lack the mentality to real go after teams.

Im not sure that is a player or coaching thing but are you confident of outscoring a Bolton or Stockport over two legs

 

I watched this in a bar in the sunny Canary Islands hard watch, but I suppose we achieved the goal of three points.
We’re nearly there now, I know it wasn’t pretty and it would make a nice change to put teams to bed but at the end of the day but we are almost in the play offs 11 months after scraping promotion from division two. Don’t get all the negativity , this thread only on six pages it’d be at least ten if we’d lost

What a simplistic reply .

Having watch Bradford City for more years than you've lived I can assure you I've seen far worse, if you want to see us play entertaining football whilst staying in League One crack on, maybe you need to listen to someone like Mark Bower an ex pro who's been there and done it, is saying this part of the season with games running out its all about results, not being entertained, if we score 3 or 4 that's a bonus, we had enough chances today to have won this game very comfortably, unfortunately our finishing was poor but we had 7 shots on target and I remember their keeper making at least 3 excellent saves to keep us out, so its not a matter of "we woulda, coulda, shoulda" we did the job little else to add.
Yes I'm delighted with the 3 points from a mediocre game, by getting the 3 points it strengthening our place in a play off position, I'd suggest if you want entertaining football with guaranteed result footballs the wrong sport for you even the likes of Arsenal, Man City Liverpool don't entertain every game.

 

From a viewing neutral point of view that was bloody awful but more importantly it's three points closer to a playoff spot. Defensively pretty solid again with Baldwin and Tilt having good games. Upfront Humphrys arguably had his best game for us. Metcalfe off it again though, we need him to find his form again.

 

3 points was the most important thing today, both teams had chances but also go to give credit to how we defended especiall.

We will play better than that and lose like we did at Reading.

A win against Stevenage and I think that secures a top 6 place, Stevenage seem to have caught our away days bug as they've only got 1 win and 2 draws away from home in their last 10.

The table feels like we've gone back a month or so with us, Bolton and Stockport in a group away from the chasing pack and the rest behind fighting for 6th.

Strange subs again for me. I know we needed to see the game out but I just can't see the sense in flogging Sarce and Pointon to death. Did they both need to do the full 95 mins today. Both gave there all but were knackered by the end. For me we could have brought a striker on for Bobby and moved Humps out left. Not 100% sure who to bring on for Sarce but with another game in 3 days he has to be able to trust someone else to cover for the last 15/20 mins

They've not played in 2 weeks and had 4 days at home chilling.

 

I thought Alexanders was good as well talking about why he preferred Humphrys in the strikers role, saying earlier in the season he was unplayable, I don't think I've read any City fan saying Humphrys doesn't have skill, but what they have said is he's not an out and out striker, sorry but once again today he could possibly have had a hattrick, that header or should I say none header just needed anything on the cross and its a goal, harsh maybe but after getting himself into great positions unfortunately he's not delivered with any consistency.

 

All about the 3 points today. We just about edged it but were never comfortable.
Given what we are like away, and with three tough looking remaining home games, that was a must win so job done in that respect. We dont have lots of goals in the team so are not going to blow teams away. It was similar last season where we had a number of drab 1-0s, but those points mounted up and ultimately meant promotion!
Personally I'd be satisfied to see us stink the place out on Monday, and a drab 0-0 will do for me

 

They haven't all been at home. Humps went to Tenerife. I thought his interview was refreshingly honest.

I know they have had a rest but some might say that could make little niggles more likely. There was no need
