Walker - At fault for the goal, overall has been poor.
Halliday - No attacking threat whatsoever, looks like he's running in mud, just passes backwards.
Byrne - I think he has been decent, comfortable on the ball and has made some good passes and interceptions.
Kelly - Awful. Missing headers, misplacing headers, stray passes and is all over the place.
Shepherd - Has been decent, looks to get the ball forward and has had to do a lot of covering for Kelly.
Wright - The only player looking to drive forward with the ball.
Smallwood - Has been average, has taken a poor free kick which hit the back of the Grimsby player and lead to a chance for Grimsby.
Pattison - Hasn't really been involved, for me that's down to Halliday not being very supportive down the right.
Pointon - Has shown glimpses, needs to slow down with his throw ins though.
Cook - Not really seen much of the ball, we need to get him into the game.
Kavanagh - The new Gilliead, needs to come off at HT. Everything he does is going wrong right now.

Kelly and Kavanagh off for me and swap Pointon and Pattison to allow Wright and Pattison to link up.

Young sees Kavanagh every day in training. Maybe he thought that if he couldn't get ahead of this lad then he had no option but to leave

 

Cook should have got on the end of the far post cross and not just passed the ball back tamely to the keeper off the cross from the right which was a great chance.
