We always looked better on the road with Swan playing. The sitting deep and hitting on the counter tactic doesn’t work. We need to be pressing high from the start and forcing mistakes. It worked well at the start of the season so don’t really know why GA changed tactics but hopefully we can put it right today

 

Ah lovely. So now we’re asking Swan to play the target man / hold up role. Another career ruined.

Brilliant chance for Swan here. 10 games to go. Score a few goals and he could stay in all the way to the end.

We need one of these central strikers to start scoring. Can't rely on the defence for clean sheets to scrape wins every time.

 

Or the pressing role of harassing defenders into mistakes that other attackers capitalise on. It's been the go to strategy that's served us so well for the last 15 months.

 

Maybe Alexander will shock us and the lads play the ball to feet.

I dont know if there was a slight barb there but I dont honestly see Swan as having a career we could ruin.

He's okay, and he's done okay, and he'll continue to be okay. He's a lower league striker through and through and through.

We have ruined a fair few strikers in our time, but no way he registers.

No barb..just thinking of all the strikers we’ve completely demoralised by asking them to do something they aren’t made for. Swanis a poacher, a fox in the box. Away from home we hoof it up to a big for-ed we don’t have. Wheatley been tried and dried out. Mullin the same. Now its Swannys turn .
