Give the same amount game time that other 3 have had he would have done a lot better than all of them ...........i mean even one goal in 7 or so games beats two of them for starters

 

I think a Alexander made a bit of a rod for his own back really introducing swan for Wheatley.

After that mullin was never going to be introduced, at the point he was needed there wasn't anyone he could have taken off for him give that humphrys had also been introduced wide

 

I think Metcalfe needs a break. He’s been off it now in the last few games and was almost caught out again tonight. The trouble is Evans doesn’t have that pace to get around and having him alongside Power could leave us exposed in the middle. Power also seemed off today, some of his passes and set pieces were terrible.

I’m glad that’s the last evening kick off because the atmosphere was flat for 75% of the game, almost as if the crowd didn’t expect us to get anything from the match.

 

Yes Metcalfe looked knackered. I am glad Baldwin will be back Saturday

I would still like to see Mullin get more game time to see what he could do, surely GA will not persist with

Mansfield were SHITE and sit 5pts off relegation. Plymouth, Stevenage, Wycombe are the tough opponents. If we have any intentions of the play offs - then we should be beating teams like Mansfield, especially at home.

I watched the Brentford Wolves game on Monday. From one corner the Wolves defender at the back post had hold of the Brentford attacker in a bear hug, not once looked at the ball, looking in the opposite direction, wrestled him to the ground. VAR had a quick look, nothing given. Blatant foul and penalty.

 

Aaron Ramsey is looking for a club. Bring him in - can’t be any more pointless than our January signings.

 

That was a typical Nigel Clough team who came to do a job, reminds me of the lg2 days…… once they got their noses in front they were always going to be difficult to break down, it was proved with the great goal from Wright to dig us out of a hole.

It's about now where you'd expect the January signings to step up and step in to give the others a break, but we look so poor and ineffective when any (bar Jackson) start. Thankfully the Saturday/Tuesday combination is over, although we still have the Easter programme to get through. Saying that, in the past when they've had 7 days between matches, we've come out and been well off it. Lets hope we can get over the line in 3rd or 4th to give ourselves the best chance of getting a shot at Wembley.

I don't disagree that he's not really been given a fair crack but history tells us that he's a 1 in 7 player at this level and Cook is a 1 in 4 at the same level so if we wanted that profile we'd absolutely have been better off keeping Cook to use as the odd impact sub now and again.

 

I think we might have something in his contract that he has to start or play a certain amount of minutes because he isn’t ready for a team in a div 1 play off race. He’s quick but the rest of his game is sh&te.

 

He’s going through a tough period off the pitch atm. I’ve been there myself and you’re not yourself. Needs some slack given to him.

 

The way the players abuse the head injury rule is annoying. It’s there to protect them from serious damage but they get hit on the shoulder and then roll around clutching their head to stop a dangerous attack. Sarcevic was clean through last night but the ref immediately stopped the game for the Mansfield players pretend head injury. Happens in the Premier league regularly they are masters at feigning head injuries.

 

I dont think its that simple re: Cook.

Sure, we might want that type of forward as an alternative so we can mix things up, but Cook isn't going to happily sit back at this stage of his career and accept that. He needs game time, and frankly, we owe him that.

Respect goes a long way.

So if Cook has to play, he moves elsewhere and we sign a replica so we still have that option should we need it - but its not our first choice.
