Fuss about nothing we could have brought a sixth sub if we wanted. He had a headache possibly from an earlier clash

 

I was at the Luton game (up in the Directors box so a decent view) and although Mullins didnt do much the WHOLE team was awful that day. We made Luton look like world beaters. What he can (CAN) offer is experience, nuisance, channel running, which Wheatley is not, yet, capable of, it appears. Whether it be Mullins or Swan or Humphreys or .... the point is it can't be Wheatley. I think he will be a good player but right now he looks like a boy who has stumbled onto the wrong pitch.

 

Not often I check out comments on Cows Arse but did so today. One dick, thats his user name too, said this season has been a disappointment. I presume dick is on medicine or something? Was he expecting us to run away with the league on the back of promotion?..dick

 

I agree to a point but everyone has stuff going on in their lives. If I spoke to someone like that at work I’d get chinned, then I’d get sacked.

My problem with Mullin would be we could find ourselves down to 10 men within minutes of him entering the pitch....

 

Pretty sure it wasn't him that said the word disappointment. That was a poster in reply to his comment.

No need to apologise for being wrong Kevin.

They bullied us for 70 mins, far too physical for us, they won most second balls and looked faster all over the pitch.

If my granny had balls and all that, but if they had more about them up front they would have surely scored more than the one they did.

Numerous times in the first half they had numerical advantage near our box and chose the wrong option, not to mention the two or three breaks in the second where they should have done far better.

 

I would say that your comment "Sad man you are" is disrespectful wouldn't you?

I am giving my opinion on Swan, when he came on as a sub for Wheatley at half time last night and in my opinion didn't fare any better than Wheatley who, as I have already stated, that in my opinion he is not ready for our team as yet and that we do not need at this time of the season, a 'prospect' but a proven goalscorer - not easy to find I know - but as I said my opinion.

We all have our own views on players, tactics, team selection etc and this is what this forum is all about - to air those opinions/views and discuss them in the correct manner.

 

I think everyone would get fired if they acted like they would playing football. It’s fast paced and frenetic at times. Turgid officials push you to the brink.

Opinions eh… I certainly saw it the other way round . So did Clough , “we defended doggedly the whole night” or similar.

Watch out for Bowery playing this weekend he said, he went off or not with headache / concussion .

 

I posted his post match interview , he claimed it was and wasn’t concussion in the same sentence . Man speaking with forked tongue me thinks ?

 

So who did the concussion tests prior to him carrying on with the game Park ? I didn’t see anything , did you ?

 

Can't agree with that at all. The footballing gods were certainly smiling on Mansfield with their goal and the amount of ricochets that feel to them in their own box.

On another night, and a similar performance, we take the lead and comfortably record a 3 0 win.

 

Mansfield came with a game plan, didn't offer much going forward but had worked out we don't attack down the middle so simply concentrated on our wing backs. Do that successfully and we can look very ordinary. When teams allow us the ball we can have a tendency to look a bit lost and for a large part of that game it was just aimless pumped balls to a player who hasn't been brought up with that style of play as its not a style of play premier academies play.

 

The 90 minutes didn't warrant a 3-0, we huffed and puffed most of the night, We weren't bad but Mansfield defended pretty well to be fair.

 

I dont think the pressure is on us ..........put it this way 3/4 wins probably gets us a playoff spot ..........6th downwards may have to go near perfect spots to pip us .................we could be more or less there over the next couple of weeks ........
