So basically he was injured and couldnt carry on. So instead of playing with 10 men, he faked the concussion so he could be replaced.

Concussion or not he should sit out 2 weeks as per the rules.

One hundred percent, suspension should be automatic. If he's clutching his head, precautions are more important than "oh, well, he says he's okay".
It shouldn't be left in the hands of the player or manager, if the head "injury" was severe enough to bring him off, its severe enough to take a sensible precaution over.

The whole thing felt very flat last night. Even the goal celebration with the players for Wrights goal was subdued. Thought the change of formation made a difference but no really to the lack of quality in the end product and that will be our worry coming into the playoffs, we got into some good positions second half but the final ball was poor, the less said about set pieces the better. Thought it was a bold move to put Tyriek on the other flank, the chemistry between Sarce and Neufville has flattered to deceive in quite a few games.

This issue was discussed during this week's take me home podcast. Jamie Raynors view was that he did not believe that GA would agree to any clause in a contract that guaranteed game time.

It's all very bizarre at the moment, it's like we're sleep walking to the end of the season with nothing to play for when in actual fact we could very well be fighting it out for the play offs, I can't work it out.
Like someone mentioned above, it came across very flat last night.

I still maintain January transfer window has for want of a better word...buggered us.

Was a tough game, as to be expected at this stage, lots to play for, poor pitches, tired legs. They were well organised and made it difficult but we were clearly the better side throughout and a defeat would have been very harsh on us, though they could argue their endeavours warranted a point.

Thought Pointon was excellent at times, he really is a difference maker with the positions he takes up and his ability to create a bit of space and release a player, he linked up well with Wright a few times who could have done better with his delivery and decision making.

Was suprised Tyreik got motm, goal aside I thought he was very quiet until moving to the right, but again he's shown his value by being able to offer something positive in multiple positions, and the shift to a 433 was interesting, we went to a 423 after Baldwin went off against Orient and looked really comfortable, its good to be able to implement different systems to try effect the game as an alternative to going two up front with a ten in behind when chasing a goal, perhaps another string to our bow in the final games.

The arguments about the striker role will rumble on and on, fact is non of them are tailor made for that lone striker role, and all seem to have their ability elevated by simple virtue of not being in the team (or in Cooks case, even at the club) Swan being a classic case last night, worked hard, ran the channels, but as someone else pointed out, didn't really do any better then Wheatley, and nor would Mullin, and as we've seen all season, Humprhys isn't without fault in that role either.

I think Jackson is a big miss, has pace and more experience/nous then Wheatley, plus he's a player who can fill in for Sarc on that right hand side and link up with Josh, but again, had he played, he'd have undoubtedly fluffed a few chances and the clamour would be for someone else to get the shirt.

Think we'll make the play offs but they'll make us suffer for it.

Daft thing is, if anyone would have told us at the start of the season we'd be in with a fighting chance of getting in the play offs, you'd have laughed and told them to go sit in a dark room.

We are not good enough to call any game easy and as other teams are finding in the promotion race there are no easy games. I would back us against anybody at home and we should have won but Mansfield were and are “tough opponents “

Not according to Clough he brought him off because he was complaining of headache, that is not a reason to add another sub, so for me the FA need to monitor the player and see that he does his time out of the matchday squad and if not then they should fine Mansfield and reprimand the referee.

Go onto the BBC report about the game listen to Cloughs post match interview he clearly admits he was brought off because he was complaining of headaches, he's not even trying to hide the fact, over to you FA ?

Wish people would stop going on about Cook.
It's obvious that G A made his plans very clear to Cookie - and it didn't fit with what he needed as a player coming back from ACL at his age.
Cook needs regular first team football week in and out otherwise his career would be over very quickly.
We needed to freshen things up and Cookie wasn't guaranteed to be the first choice lad up top so he moved on.

No point keeping a player in the squad if it is against their wishes - would be really damaging for his career and for team morale generally.

Mullins might be another Cook-esque player but he does bring other qualities that Cookie didn't have.

Thing is Cookie has moved on and he's not a City player anymore.

Agree, maybe Alexander told Cook at the time he would not be a regular starter which is understandable, but as we know things change and with most of our goals coming from the likes of Pointon, Sarcevic with others chipping in with the odd goal, maybe Cook would have been a starter as he would have got fitter over the weeks it's still baffling why after letting him go to Grimsby we signed Mullin, who is a very similar player, and you have to question his fitness as he was a regular starter at Wigan his goal scoring record was poor.

    Disappointing game and result.

Wheatley needs to be benched. It is simply not working. He is not ready. He is being bullied by League 1 centre backs and looks like a boy out there. His body language clearly indicates that whatever confidence he had when he arrived has been blown away by the missed chances and experienced League 1 players pushing him around. At times last night it looked like he wasn't really competing for the ball.

Jackson has the experience but unfortunately he isn't available so in my mind it is time for Mullins to step up. He can hold the ball, he isn't frightened to put himself about and be a real nuisance. This will open spaces, create mistakes, and chances for Sarcevic, Pointon et all.

    Dit Dah, Dit Dah Dit.

    The th
The thing is. When Mullin did start against Luton we looked even more toothless. It could have been a bad day at the office but other than his battling qualities, I'm not sure what he offers either.

That’s fair all round . Teams determined to play 9 behind the ball after going one -nil up leaving one up top reliant on breakouts are horrendously difficult to break down . The no 1 reason that the first goal is so important. On another day they wouldn’t have got their fluke and we would get three?

I posted the same at full time … Where and when was the concussion incident …..? They didn’t claim their centre back who went off in the second half was the same guy who went down holding his head after brushing against Wheatley when we were heading 2 on 1 towards their goal in theFIRST half ? WTF?
