Yes it was mentioned in the podcast . Wigan play one up top , Taylor and just use his pace going by their ( appalling defence) highlights against Plymouth. The crowd wow …it looks like a behind doors covid crowd .

Yes I thought it was just one game to go but you are correct - slate is wiped at conclusion of 37th league game. Should we rest Tilt for both these away games ?

I don't think we will make 2 changes in the back 3, at most what he might do is put hope to be 2 or 3 up and then bring of Tilt after 60-70 minutes. The one thing about Tilt is that when he needs to calm it down then he seems to be able to do that and Alexander trusts him to do that, 5 of his 9 yellow cards have been in the first half but I don't think there's been a game where he's looked in danger of picking up a 2nd. The nearest for me was early on in the Cardiff game I was convinced he was going to get sent off in the first half but then after half time he calmed down a lot and didn't look at risk.

As a bit of a loophole in the suspension rules if he was to get a yellow card tonight or Saturday then he's better off deliberately getting a 2nd yellow which would only be a 1 game ban and he would go back to 9 yellow cards then by the time he's back for Mansfield next week we're at 15 yellows for a ban. If he was to just get the 1 yellow card then he would be suspended for 2 games and then have to go through the last 7 or 8 games not getting 5 which isn't impossible with him.

Is that like he misses two games to save him missing two games should he get booked?

Playing in the home kit tonight, fingers crossed we can turn the away form around here but Vale will be on such a high after the cup win. In all comps they have just 1 defeat in their last 9 which was away to Stevenage, they've had 9 home games in 2026 in all comps and have just 1 defeat in that which was home to Exeter. This one wont be as easy as it looks on paper.

I can’t see the point of resting Tilt to avoid a ban which would mean we are effectively banning him ourselves for one game.

    Spot on.

Power was left on 9 bookings for quite a few weeks before he eventually got the 10th and ban

How about we just pick the strongest team possible and try win the game.
If GA has any intention of starting with Kelly and Wright then I’d rather he told us now so I can stay at home.

A few weeks ago I would have said this is 2/3pts we cannot drop - but they have held Luton and Reading recently and beaten Bristol C and Sunderland in the cup. They are fighting for their lives to stay up and still have a chance with the games in hand. Given our shite away form, I don't think a point would be the end of the world.

Pennington - Tilt - Touray would be my back 3, although I am not against J Wright in the middle either. Sarcevic will probably be on the bench so I guess its possibly Lapslie that comes in. Humprys or Mullin at CF. Hopefully the rest remains the same.

Yeah tend to agree with this, 3 points would be great but a point just gives us a bit more of a buffer. My hope is that it may be a bit of an after the lord mayors show scenario with their cup heroics. They are really up against it, loads of games in hand but it's not the same as points on the boards and they will need to manage their players accordingly. They have had a real new manager bounce but ultimately they are bottom of the league for a reason and a poor team doesn't just become great overnight. They probably need to win most of their remaining games and that in itself creates pressure.

I just hope we can play canny ourselves and please god Graham as decent a back 3 possible with those available. I just really wish we could have played this game when it was originally scheduled as Vale were a total lost cause at that point. Unlucky we're facing them on a bit of a high

If he picks up a card it's a 2 game ban so it seems counter productive to rest him for 2 games just incase he's banned for 2 games.

Is this game on Bantams TV, currently showing not available online in Australia?

If we go at them from the off ( managing a goal dare I suggest) it will be toxic.

Here's hoping he doesn't want to be star of the show.......

Referee: London-based Paul Howard was in charge for City's home win over Reading.
