Very good performance, finishing has to improve but job done and on to Wigan we go. Looking very good for the play offs now.

 

Job done Trevor, day off Thursday then same starting 11 against Wigan if we could get an early goal their fans will be straight on their backs.

 

A very similar performance to the Peterborough home game, very dominant and only negative is that is wasn't more. Hopefully that gives the players confidence away from home and we can back it up on Saturday.

That should be one foot in the play offs, I can't see anymore than 10 points being needed

Wouldn't it be nice to come good in the last 5 away games, Wigan, Burton, Barnsley and Exeter all places where we can get points, Wycombe may be a little more difficult .

 

He was fantastic tonight. Those criticizing him will only focus on the missed chances but he ran their backline ragged and was one of the standout performers tonight for me.

With Wigan playing in Blue/White surely we can't wear the blue strip so it's between the pink peril and the home kit again.

 

Vale were remarkably poor. Thought they were competitive at VP earlier in the season. They look done. Can’t see them getting many more points this season. Arguably more physical but less quality than Peterborough at home. On to Wigan.

Back in November, I thought we'd struggle to stay in the Top 8 and stated that 9th would be superb.

But I don't know how GA does it but they've kicked on after that poor January and now look like a team that full deserve to be where they are. I've no doubt, if we're at our best that now only the three above us are better.

Yes it 9th will do. Next season in the Championship. LOL!!

Agree i thought he had a great game and caused them no end of problems

 

I always thought that Sunday's big cup shock and win would affect them.

Remember that when we got to Wembley in 2013, out league form from the Wigan win to the cup final, was relegation form. Even the Premiership teams teams struggle to perform in key games playing twice a week - far less likely for a L1/L2 team.

 

I thought Wheatley was very good tonight. Their central defenders couldnt cope with him tonight with his pace and movement. I think every City fan was willing him to score tonight.
