Mellon saying in the T&A this morning that he's absolutely loving playing Saturday, Tuesday and so is Tayo. Halliday said similar at the weekend in that he'd play Saturday, Tuesday every week if he could so I don't think we need to worry about the players looking knackered at the end of the game. That just shows that they're leaving everything out there every game, which is brilliant to see.

You’d hope each day in training they exercise a similar amount to a game, I’m sure most players would rather play in front of a crowd in an important game than train for hours a day. I’ve always thought when foreign managers were moaning about scheduling it was more an excuse than anything.

He will from me. I don’t buy into this global ‘Reject’ attitude. Flynn played with some passion for City. I hope he does well at Cheltenham, but just not tonight. I will give him a small clap. Sometimes having a bit of dignity and warmth to others goes a long way!

I have voted for a draw, no idea why as I am normally optimistic at home, just a funny feeling we might have to scrape a draw, but I will be very happy if we batter them.

Good reminder on the prediction! City have a knack of drawing 1-1 on a Tuesday night, i think i looked before the Accrington game and we had something like 8 draws in the last 11 or 12 Tuesday night league games at home and 6 or 7 of them were 1-1, and we drew to these in the reverse fixture earlier this season, again 1-1 on a Tuesday night.... But i have a feeling tonight is going to be a good one. Maybe 3 or 4 to the good!

    Some form tables to compare.

    The last 12 games
    upload_2025-3-4_9-40-3.png

    The last away games
    upload_2025-3-4_9-41-16.png

    The last home games

    Lynn upload_2025-3-4_9-42-14.png

In January in 3 games they failed to score.
in February they failed to score in 1 game, but in the Severn Estuary derby they smashed 3 past Flynn’s home town team Newport.

So they usually don't score on the road. I guess 1 goal to City would be sufficient, but obviously hope for a shed load.

    Worrying ?
    • Cheltenham are unbeaten in their last seven league games played on a Tuesday (W3 D4), although their last four in a row have all been drawn – including this season’s reverse fixture against Bradford in October.

I watched a short video of the Salford game taken by the club and at the end of the game as the players were returning to the dressing room Sarcevic was walking fine no limp or holding his leg, let's hope that's a good sign.

Think he'll start with Mellon and Kavanagh on the bench, given Kavanagh is just back from injury.

I find all this Alexander The Great stuff a bit premature (and a bit cringe) tbh. He hasn't achieved his remit or expectations yet and still has a way to go before we start tickling his balls.
City fans getting carried away as per usual, maybe celebrate him when he gets the job done.

I agree. There's still plenty of time for things to go tits up. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The predicted squad for tonight from Simon Parker.

    BRADFORD CITY

GK Sam Walker, CH Aden Baldwin, CH Paul Huntington, CH Jack Shepherd, RWB Brad Halliday, CM Richie Smallwood, CM Brandon Khela, LWB Tayo Adaramola, RW Jamie Walker, LW George Lapslie, CF Michael Mellon.

Substitutes: Kavanagh, Pointon, Leigh, Byrne, Oduor, Benn, Hilton.

I'm assuming that Pointon still won't be fit enough to start which is why Lapslie could get a start. With Mellon getting his goal on Saturday I think we probably will start him again to try keep his momentum going and tell him to go all out for 60-70 minutes then bring on Kavanagh.

Just seen the ref for tonight is Trevor Kettle's lad. Hope it's not a case of like father like son.

Obviously I hope Im completely wrong, but have a bad feeling about tonight.

I reckon a midweek game too far will take its toll as our midfield looks far too depleted. I hope Khela proves me wrong and steps up tonight, but not convinced at all to be honest from what I've seen so far.

Our good home run will end at some time, hopefully go on a little longer but winning just 1-0 and depending on a clean sheet from the defence and occasionally it will go wrong. Even Leeds who destroy teams at home slipped up on Saturday. If there’s no Sarcevic, Pattinson or Pointon tonight we are going to struggle.
