Thats bonkers. GA has no links to Reading whatsoever, and even if he did, why would he want to help them

We didn’t do enough to be 2-0 up?
Wheatley looks out of his depth.
    Humphrey looks to be sulking
Sarc can’t do it all every week.
Really interesting that Metcalfe had an off day (by his high standards)
Our wing play was slow and laboured

    I wouldn’t bother.

That post is easily winner of “most ridiculous post of the day” award.

And it’s up against some decent competition.

But when you are 1-0 up in the 90th minute
You do not lose .At least take the point if they draw level and don’t concede a badly defended goal to leave you empty handed
Bad management and bad player mentality and that is down to the manager

It was another really bad decision by Alexander not merely did it disrupt our other defenders but he took off one of players who could hold the ball, Reading were poor going forward and didn't trouble us so why did you once again change what was working, then pushing Richardson because you knew the result was all down to you.

Waste of time posting this. People just want to be angry and throw sh*t at the manager. I can't remember many situations where a team don't sit back and bring a defender on away from home after scoring late on. It's almost the convention. I can't wait to bump this thread in May when we've won at Wembley.

If Baldwin was on to the end I don't see us losing that game.

Can't understand why GA selects Wheatley over Humphrys and Mullin. Mullin, a natural goalscorer throughout his career yet can hardly get a kick over a raw lad from Man. Utd who looks to be way out of his depth and has very little effect or presence. Oh I forgot............he runs around a lot.

I don’t think anybody is saying Wright is at fault.
But psychologically other defenders may slightly switch off thinking there’s an extra defender on the pitch.

Off course it sometimes work but I still think that it could makes the rest of the back line a little bit comfortable knowing there’s an extra defender.

This game was one of the best examples of how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory that you will ever see. Honestly I'd be surprised if we actually win again away from home for the rest of the season. The only thing that would surprise me more would be to see Power score a goal.

How will the players feel after that? A huge improvement on recent away displays, tremendous effort put in by everyone on the pitch, cruising to a great win then undermined by a cretinous decision by our tinkering manager. That's right up there with Hughes at Carlisle.

Oh I've read some absolute howlers on here over the years and that's up there.. We lost due to switching off in the last ten minutes and not creating enough when far too comfortable at 1-0.

Our chronic lack of goals is killing us but, when you look at our manager & his assistant ( both defenders ) you wonder just who is coaching our forwards.
Look at the goals Bolton,Cardiff & Lincoln scored today bet they have attack minded coaches.

I thought we were going to see the game out they didn't cause us any problems, then for reasons only known to himself Alexander believed our defence needs another body in there, a sickener for sure.

Interesting that Mark Bower said afterwards that its difficult for central defenders to come on with so little time left. I know its worked at home in the past, but hate to see it.

    We'd looked fairly comfortable.

Once again, I think messing with the defence led to our downfall.

We had one forced defensive change when Baldwin had to be substituted after Paudie's elbow but then we changed the defence again to get Wright on which meant that Tilt had moved twice and Touray once, so again no 'settled' defence right at the death when it matters. So, players are now marking different players etc. etc.
