Massive win last night, those 3 points could be invaluable come the end of the season. Puts points in the bag and yes 3 teams could catch us and overhaul us if they win their games but they have to go out there and win them.

Bromley play alot of the sides around us in the coming weeks, and they won't be a push over.

I was thinking, when was the last time we won promotion at Valley Parade? I've gone back 40+ years and every time we have secured promotion it's been away from Valley Parade. Not to get ahead of ourselves but it really would be good to push ahead and seal the deal at VP if it happens.

It would be amazing to seal promotion away at Donny in front of 5000 away fans and then secure the title at home on the last day.

Wasn't a penalty for me. Looked accidental. My own view is that for things like penalties, red cards, there needs to be a high bar of certainty around the decision, as the have a huge impact on the outcome of the game. Same thing with over-the-line calls. You have to be sure. There were a couple of marginal decisions last night, and I think the officials handled them all well, and fairly.

Let's just win promotion. The ground is not important as long as we do it. We certainly have togetherness. Look at our goal and see who Halliday ran to, to congratulate.

Whilst if that happened I would struggle to get back to the train station due to intoxication, I think it would be far far better to be promoted at home.

We’ve had a few “red flag” matches recently and come through them all (thinking Carlisle, Morecambe, Accrington et al). Let’s hope this vein of form continues!

Our form is superb over the last 10 games.....we are top of the pile across the 4 leagues with 25 points, Leeds and Birmingham on 24 with Arsenal on 23 points.
We have togetherness, defensive qualities and should fear no one.

I posted last night after a lonnnggg trip back from London that is down to the players ( not knocking GA whatsoever) but they are working so hard together and for one another. We play a brand of football that is a pleasure to watch and honestly cannot see anything than promotion

100% agree, you might call it slightly one dimensional with Cook, but also, I just wond
Totally agree, but if we can keep the key players we have and add a bit more quality we could have a chance of finishing high up in L1, ask the Brummies !

I remember Ryan quoting as we move up the leagues the stadium rent becomes less of a financial burden, so true the stadium rent will be the least of our worries some of the salaries and transfer fees quoted are mind blowing.

Yes as a proportion of incomings/ outgoings yes it will as tv revenues are increased as is expected ticketing and commercial income will too.

The trouble is that if the ball is hit at a defender and it impacts on their arm, even if they are doing their best to avoid contact, then as I understand it, it counts as a foul, and if in the Box, then a Penalty should be given.
So arguably ’accidental’ in itself, doesn’t mean it isn’t a foul.
Hence all those movements we see with players holding their arms behind their backs.
As I understand it the ball came off part of his own body, so a secondary touch, and as there was no discernible attempt to handle the ball. It was in essence a deflection off the players body, and not a penalty.
I think @1976Bantam@1976Bantam has a better understanding of the rules than me.

I'll be honest, I've no idea what the rules mandate anymore. But based on an eye-test, its not the sort of incident I'd want penalties given for.

One thing that I’ve noticed in the last few games is how much better S Walker’s distribution is. He has been really quick to get the ball out (either throwing it out or a long ball from his hands) to get us on the front foot. There were a couple of long kicks last night that were really accurate and got us on the attack quickly.

It’s a commentator Sky provide. Nothing to do with either club, I believe that’s the case anyway

The commentator on Bantams is the Radio Leeds guy. Sky + commentary is a different thing. Erm, I believe that's the case anyway ;)
But, he did keep saying Leigh in the first half until someone obviously pointed out the error of his way.
