I'm happy to have the points on the board, thanks. Let others do that "if we get three points" maths because as we know from the last couple of seasons, those games in hand don't always go as you'd expect.

My thoughts it was a penalty Kev. I'd be screaming the house down if it was the other way round.

    Fifa law 12:

    CELEBRATION OF A GOAL

Players can celebrate when a goal is scored, but the celebration must not be excessive; choreographed celebrations are not encouraged and must not cause excessive time-wasting.

Leaving the field of play to celebrate a goal is not a cautionable offence but players should return as soon as possible.

A player must be cautioned, even if the goal is disallowed, for:

climbing onto a perimeter fence and/or approaching the spectators in a manner which causes safety and/or security issues
gesturing or acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way
covering the head or face with a mask or other similar item
removing the shirt or covering the head with the shirt
    DELAYING THE RESTART OF PLAY

    Maybe one of the above.

In all honesty I believe playing teams in the top half of the table gets the best out of us where as the teams at the bottom of the table we tend to think its a walk over (fans that is) and as we know that's not always the case.
Onwards to Salford who have a pretty average home record, can we keep this great run going with another away win ?.

They keep changing the handball rules so I must admit I don't have a clue anymore. I'm fairly sure though that at one point it was no handball if it hits the arm having come off another part of the body which is what happened here.

So the great conundrum of the evening. In face of some scepticism……did you get to Bromley in time? Did you get into the ‘home end’? Which point did you cross the Thames?

Screamed the house down when that goal went in!!

What an effort that was tonight. Interested some comments not as complementary. Another good advert for the squad the managements use of it. Thought there were some very decent performances from some who haven’t always been in the starting XI.

Have to say, the three loans we brought have really added to the depth and like the look of all three. Not only is there quality, they look to be buying into what we are aiming to achieve.

Hats off to Smallwood tonight. It’s been said a lot lately but this is the player we hoped we had signed. No secret he is better with the players around him now and think he’s been superb recently.

Games in hand are fine if you win them ..........would rather have the points in the bag ..........we could be 6 points clear of Notts C come Saturday or even just the four yes they will have 2 games in hand but they have to win them both ............and with us playing 3 out of next 4 games at home after Salford then we could be pushing the gap a lot wider.

Just got a feeling that these two games are gonna go along way to seeing where we finish get part 2 done Saturday and we are well on our way :)

There is a you tube vid by two “ adult” contributors , Crewe and ? fans who both agree we are the best side in the division at the moment.

His arms were in the air so as per the rules could be deemed to be in an unnatural position, seen many of those given as the old cliche goes, not complaining like

Neither of you can say that, why would we not continue as we are the whole team are playing with confidence ON THE BALL where as previously the ball was like a hot potato for some of our players route one easy option.
One thing I am sure of Cook given the chances we made tonight would have scored, you really have a downer on our leading goal scorer for the last 4 seasons Paul I just don't get it.

I wish you was correct with regards crosses into the box for Cook our crossing whilst Cook was playing was horrendous, Smallwood with his free kicks and our crossing from the likes of Wright, Halliday were no better.

Thoroughly dominant yet still dopey at times in the second half. How are they mid table. They were very poor. That said they should have had a penalty for the hand ball.

We started well and gradually got dragged in. Winning late on is a fantastic habit to have. Strong subs to bring on. Onwards. Another test on Saturday.
