Well a game which won’t last long in the memory other than the tremendous goal. Three points further forward. Given the stumbling of other ‘Play Off’ teams. Things are looking good.

Went home through Halifax given the M606/62 reported closures. Took 13 minutes longer according to the Sat Nav initial prediction, so thankfully no real issue.

I thought Sarce’s attempts at winning free kicks were embarrassing last night.

I think the Tilt ones are very different
Get in front of an attacker and just wait for a touch in the back.

It always makes we laugh when the opposition do it and the crowd go mad.
Shepherd and Tilt have probably won 50% of our defensive free kicks with this tactic over the last 2 years.

I agree, a point at Reading would be an improvement. In any event we will need to put a shift in for every single match to the end of April.

I think this rotation policy would benefit from having a reserve side and league (wishful thinking I know) We could start one informally with other clubs. Then the whole squad would be able to get 90 minutes of competitive football. This would give the manager plenty of perspective when choosing who is playing for the 1st team.

I thought the same Kev, looked an awkward one. It'll be a shame to lose him has he's been a right pain for the opposition in what we have seen of him so far.

There was one last night where Tilt was running neck and neck with their attacker towards the kop then at the last second he ran in front of the attacker leaving him nowhere to go but into the back of him.

In his post match interview the Rotherham manager spoke about the depth of the City squad and the quality of the bench. He stated that 2 players he tried to sign in January were not even in last night's match squad, presumably Ashby and White.

3 very important points on a difficult pitch, a great goal and mom was Baldwin by a country mile. Now, about that away form.....

Talking of signings. We should have signed Gray on loan. Looked a bit like a cry baby at times but that lad looks to have a great future

Had we been 2 or 3 goals to the good it would have been an excellent opportunity to take them off to keep them fresh for Saturday but at 1-0 it was way too much of a risk to do that imo. I think Sarc will probably start on Saturday anyway given there's no Tuesday game next week, Bobby possibly as well, but I've a feeling Touray will be back in at LWB so he might start with Wright further forward on the left instead.

Mark said it during the post match phone in so last night's game had already been played, so he was correct, but who cares it's all about results and although it was a hard watch at times thats all we need to focus on ;).

We have a point before a ball is kicked so what Alexander need to do is make sure the team he selects is capable of bringing that point back home, I'll happily take all three though.

Yes Alexander confirmed if was the defender falling on his leg that caused the injury, I thought Alexander sounded upbet about it not being serious, but as you say until the medical team have had a look we won't know.

If Jackson injured, I’d give Wheatley another start on Saturday and then bring on Mullin or Hump for their experience later on in the game - if chasing or drawing. Wheatley is very good at pressing, closing down and running across the line. Needs to work on his timings a bit more, but when we’re away from home, we hoof it from half way anyway.

I thought Wheatley was miles off it yesterday. I've not seen him much due to various things so I'm assuming he's looked much better in previous games but to me he looked way out of his depth and never really showed the desire to put himself about enough to earn another start. Hopefully just a young lad dipping below his level but the desire should always be there for me, even when things aren't coming off.
