No idea re Joe but staggeringly GA confirmed in his interview Tyreik was rested. Like you, I had assumed he was injured.

    Tyreik was rested he said

Are any of the other top 6 swapping players like this it just seem's totally bonkers to make so many changes and swap bodies in and out and expect it not to have an unsettling effect on the team dynamic. These are not pre season friendlies and time to experiment!

It just totally baffles me the logic behind it all. I don't know how many times a week the players train, but say we played the same team as on Tuesday and made 5 subs(as we'd made 5 changes) after 60 minutes, then I'd rather that than totally change a team performing well. If players need a rest so badly, why not give them a day off training? I'd rather a key player miss a training session than an actual match with 3 points at stake. You can't tell me that a training session takes less out of the players than 60 minutes of play. If so, they need to really up their fitness. Other teams just don't use the rotation we do. Sorry Graham, but I think it's an excuse to keep everyone happy by giving everyone minutes. You aren't a manager to make friends, if players aren't happy not getting minutes, then tough, do better when you get the chance.

No the other top 6 are concentrating on play off/ auto finishes
Maybe GA thinks "job done"survived and good chance of play offs never mind being top 2 for long spells of the season
Play offs can slip away just as easily as the autos did if he's not careful

Resting Tyriek was bonkers. He had to change the whole dynamic of the defence in doing so.

I am sorry, but poor state of affairs if young players like Tyriek and Bobby are deemed not fit enough to play week in week out.

The only one I get perhaps, is managing Sarce, but resting our two most influential attacking players in him and Bobby in the same game is madness

Agreed. We all recognise changes need to be made, but why do so many? 2 or 3 max and you can just about maintain your previous form. Changing 5 and everyone's guessing what the other player is going to do. If you get chance, read the stats in the WOAP regarding Cardiff and Lincoln rotation in the last 8 games. Probably half the amount of changes we've made, using less players overall. Ours smacks of change for change sake.

Totally agree and re Tyreik, we all know hes a confidence player and after being indifferent earlier in the season, hes now in the middle of arguably his best spell of form since he returned to the club. To disrupt that for no reason whatsoever makes no sense.

I must have missed that comment in his post match interview, as you say staggering that a player who at the moment is on top form gets rested along with Sarcevic, Pointon, and Baldwin, baffling.

This thread is about the Wimbledon away fixture, it has spilt over and questioned team selection and in particular away performance.
Just looking at the last six away games, five straight defeats has to be very concerning. The current away form is akin to that of teams in the relegation zone.Yes the home form has been very good (Burton excepted). However it is becoming like a Jekyll and Hyde, with the away form/performances being woeful.

Players talk, I wonder if these wholesale changes, rotation and change of shape has more questions than answers amongst the group?

I only post on the this forum so I can't speak for other forms of social media but that is the question 99% of fans are asking.
Surely if your fit enough to travel and may be called upon to take a part in the game why not start them ( hope it has a positive effect) and bring the likes of Sarcevic off at half time, accepting Alexander explanation of yesterdays selection we will see Baldwin, Pointon Wright and Sarcevic start against Rotherham as they have been rested.

Last 6 away, League 1 form guide. Relegation form, terrible GD and I add to what I stated to @Idlebantam@Idlebantam above, I wonder what the players are thinking

I’m obviously a masochist, as I’m thinking of flying over for the Reading game (dad lives in Henley). Is he really going to set us up like this every away game? It’s awful. Absolute hoof ball.

It's been poor for some time (including last season) however this latest away form with such big defeats, conceding an average of over 2 away goals, and the obvious massive contrast to the home form means it's a question that cant be avoided anymore or masked over by the league table position. GA was saying something about the valley parade crowd being a drug - thats a cop out and hopefully he has some better ideas to improve away results - those goals yesterday were shockers. We lost away to 0-1 Cheltenham this season where he made 8 changes from the side that drew against Lincoln, ok you could argue we were concentrating on the league - but when has 8 changes for a game ever worked well. We then lost the next home game vs Burton with more swapping the team and an awful performance. We aren't going to win every game but all these constant changes seem to be having a negative effect especially away from home. We do seem to do significantly better with Sarc in the side though - such an influential player for us who also scores goals....looks like the January recruitment failed to get our 'like for like' there, we'd be stuffed without him.

If pro footballers can't handle two games per week (occasionally) then they are in the wrong job. Wake up GA, you have done this too often.
