Have a look at Gillingham and Countys spending this year. No one in league two is spending anything like what Stockport were even in the division below. You're comparing apples and oranges here.

Whoops, must have missed that bit. Must admit I wasn’t listening terribly closely.

Someone overheard him in the tunnel talking to the oppo centre forward...

"You've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?"

Those around me were bashing too. Me and my mate didn't get it. Watching him, he put himself about and made a nuisance of himself. Jackson came on and he was quicker which caused different problems for their back line.

We've got ourselves quite the conundrum now it seems.

GA is going to continue with his favoured formation and as seen in the last two games, that given it's heavily focused on pace then we are more than likely going to see a continued rotation of Jackson and Wheatley.

Im not entirely sure where that leaves Humphrys and Mullin in all honesty, and how much we will see of them on the pitch.

Humphrys can play that role, however has shown very little willingness to do so but for me its not suited to Mullin.

Unless we are behind in a game and a shift in formation is required, i cant see where these two come in to an equation. An obvious one would be to introduce Humphyrs into a pointon/sarcevic position when they were tiring but given previous comments i doubt that is something that will cross GA's mind

He doesn't look like veering away from the lone striker and he seems to favour athleticism in that role as opposed to natural goalscorer which neither Jackson or Wheatley look like. I suppose as long as Sarce and Bobby weighing in with goals Mullin will be warning the bench.

The fact that Jackson put in as much effort in 70+mins on Saturday than if he had played the full 90+ , always meant a change upfront
    Stat’s quoted by GA
I like the look of Wheatley, he is quick and mobile
But does need to strengthen in the challenge, lost the ball far too often on Tuesday and picked up a pointless booking from frustration
I just think leading the line at VP in a crucial game in front of over 22000 fans, was a bit too much for him at this stage of his career

Agree, he lacked muscle and he had intent with his push of their player, still worth a squad place though...

I very much feel he is better employed as an impact sub against tired defenders on a heavy pitch

The fact they were both on the bench V County suggests they will be brought on as cavalry if we need to chase a game for the last 20 mins?

And even further down the line, we have Swan who will be coming back at some point.

I see him as 5th choice at the minute... even without injury.
