I don't think anyone had less than a 7/10 today possibly the easiest game Walkers had for a while.

You can’t press teams like we were doing in the early part of the season if they don’t play out from the back. Since at least November no one has tried to play Pepball against us except the first half at Orient (when we looked great and should have been three ahead by HT) and Posh today. Even Cardiff, Huddersfield, Lincoln and Luton deliberately went over the press. Yes, we continued to win games after teams had sussed out our pressing tactic but most of them were scrappy single goal margins where we ground out a result without playing well.
I’m not convinced that we’ve developed a strategy to play well against teams that don’t dwell on the ball in defence. We play a lot of the division’s poorer teams in the coming months and few of them will play Pepball. Whether we end up in the playoffs will depend on whether GA works out a tactic that doesn’t rely entirely on the high press and doesn’t leave us overrun in midfield by teams that bypass it.

Metcalfe absolutely magnificent but I agree Baldwin also outstanding with his passing and the sliding tackle was nowhere near a penalty it was perfectly timed. He’s not bad for a player derided as National league standard by some posters.

Peterborough played into our hands. Quite literally allowed us to play a style of football almost alien compared to the long aimless punts we've been accustomed to seeing. I thought they were spineless and gutless and i'm being kind there. Stockport on Tuesday with the likes of Ollie Norwood will be a different kettle of fish but its at Valley Parade and this place is somewhat of a fortress for us these days.

Well that was one of the best performances I have seen this season. They were just fantastic. 10 minutes in I said to the other half Baldwin is playing a blinder; his diagonal passes were fast and accurate I thought Jenson was pure class, he had them chasing their tail all match. I think there were several players who could have won MOM.

Our new players are doing well but have yet to settle in properly but they look like players who we have been after for ages.

I was expecting one of those turgid affairs, but they delighted me with their passing and shoot on site play.

Their manager was very complimentary and said we were a class above and deserved to win.

My concern is the recovery of key players in time for Stockport. Hopefully our physios and medics will get them ready.

I was surprised some posters called it as a stonewall pen. I had a great view of it from the Midland Road stand. I winced when he flew in, but thought he timed it to perfection.

I wasn't there mate, I'm in Belgium after coming over for the darts. I noticed he was shifted to the right though with Tilt in the middle and Touray on the left.

    Another one I got right.

And it has been for 2 seasons now.
Thats why i can’t understand some fans constantly shitting themselves about who we play at home.
We’ve lost 2 at home all season and one of those was to the team who will win the division.
Of course we aren’t unbeatable but I’d fancy us against anyone at home.

It’s the away form that continues to be a worry and will define where we finish.

Remember his debut well as my mate said this bloke will never make a Premier league keeper. Nervous as hell and lucky not to concede from mistakes. After that first game he was brilliant and I liked to remind my mate regularly what he said!

I understand why people have said our game plan worked because Peterborough were naive enough to play "pep" ball but The press was only part of the game today.

The press gets us the ball in attacking positions but i thought from back to front our play was something else.

Pressing might not have worked per se at Huddersfield and Lincoln for example but setting out with the mentality we did today would have helped.

As soon as walker got the ball it was wide to neufville, every pass was a forward pass with intent, were fast , fluid, and had a purpose to our play that has been missing for weeks

but Walker was our worst. Thought he looked extremely uncomfortable when he had the ball and is distribution was slow.

    Ah, here we go.

Baldwin has his first decent game in 6 and the clowns are out with the "national league" stuff.

Maybe try checking your posts before you reply.

Still sticking with your “playing out of their skin” about Peterborough?

One of the worst performances seen by a visiting team at VP apparently today.

Because we played brilliantly. Apparently they had gathered more points than any other league one team since their manager took over. They are a form team so perhaps for once credit your own team

Teams “playing out of their skin” don’t totally stink the place out, could have conceded 6 or 7 and are described by sensible posters as one of the worst teams seen at VP regardless of how well we played.

Admit it,you based that comment on one result against a team that were playing so poorly that within hours of that 6-1 had sacked their manager.

I’ll add again that before the 6-1 they’d lost their 2 previous matches.

I based it on their form since Williamson took over as well as the 8-2 aggregate this week. We made them look poor through our performance. They looked poor because of that
